I haven't had any problems using 3 or 4 of the ports, which has made my Surface much more useful. The cord is also a good length, not too short and not ridiculously long.

It also includes the power adapter required. Had it a week and it seems to do what I need. Also works with the new iPadOS that can connect devices like flash drives with the Apple Lightening USB Camera adapter.
