Owned for 1 month when reviewed.This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Purchased due to the NEED of ethernet use to be able to work from home during pandemic. Driver would not install on my 2018 MacBook Air. When I reach out to the manufacturer as the paperwork asked to do before returning they offered NO HELP. They took forever to return emails, and the live chat was useless. The product itself may be great, but I wouldn't know and because of the horrible service I would avoid the risk.

Posted .We apologize the Ethernet adapter did not work with Big Sur. We are waiting for an updated driver to be compatible. We do offer PnP devices such as the JCE133G and JCE145 but requires a USB-C port. Sincerely, j5create.

When installing according to instructions provided it has not reached but about 1/5 the promised speed. Manufacturer's customer support responded promptly to my request for assistance but when I told them the steps I have taken and asking for more assistance I have not had additional response. I am using this item with a laptop running Windows 8.1 and a USB 3.0 which should give me a gig connection but so far that has not happened. I am still hopeful that the support staff will provide me with more information that will allow me the speed they claim.
