It worked, at times

It worked, in spurts. Every few minutes, it would lose connection and I would have to reset the adapter and refresh the ip. Eventually, I broke down and bought a network card online and now use that without any difficulty. If you just need sporadic connectivity, this will work. Otherwise, I'd find something else to use.

Would not work on my situation

Cable could be shorter but great product.

Culprit was the cable. The product was not designed to be robust because the copper wire inside the cable is so thin that it will eventually break if you connect and disconnect often. I also don't like that it is a Huawei product. You won't know this until you plug it in and your PC identifies the manufacturer.

Work around for MAC

I could have saved the funds. It was an unnecessary purchase. The salesman, at the store, should have told me that I was making an unneeded purchase.
