Contacted tech support, they told me to do the exact same troubleshooting measures I had done prior to contacting them. Do not waste your money!!

Posted .The USB 3.0 Gigabit Ethernet Adapter is intended to connect to a computer with an available USB Type-A connection (USB 3.0 is recommended) and the Ethernet side connects to a modem or router. An installation of a driver is required for functionality. This device will not work on a Nintendo Wii.

Not compatible with Mac (Big Sur operating system)

Plug the device, insert CD, run setup and you are all set with a gigabit network connection. Tried on mac and it was flawless too. I didn't have to install drivers for mac. It recognized the device by itself and got online pretty much instantly. I am not sure about the negative reviews on this product. For me, it worked perfectly and at full speed. Tried on USB 3.0 and USB 2.0 ports. Both works fine.

Posted .This Ethernet Adapter requires an installation of a driver. Once installation is complete, go ahead and connect the Adapter to computer with an ethernet cable to a modem or router. Go to Network locate AX88179 and connect. From here, the device should work as expected. Thank you.
