If you do not have administrative privileges on your computer user account, you will have to contact your system administrator, IT or help desk, and request that they install the driver software on the computer's local Admin account. Posted .Try uninstalling and reinstalling the drivers for the USB 3.0 Gigabit Ethernet Adapter. Reset the networking hardware, i.e. power-cycle the modem, or router. Power-off your networking hardware for approximately 30 seconds then power it back on. Cross-test the device with another Ethernet cable, or connect the Ethernet cable into another RJ45 port on the networking hardware. Try renewing the DHCP lease. Check if there are any available updates for your computer. Being behind on updates could cause the j5 device to not function as intended and in order to rule everything out we recommend contacting the Manufacture (of your computer) Support in order to have them assist you in properly updating your computer. ** If you require further assistance; please contact the j5create Technical Support team and they will be glad to further assist if necessary. Not Plug and Play...

Posted .The USB 3.0 Gigabit Ethernet Adapter is intended to connect to a computer with an available USB Type-A connection (USB 3.0 is recommended) and the Ethernet side connects to a modem or router. An installation of a driver is required for functionality. This device will not work on a Nintendo Wii.
