      We recommend updating Serial Bus Controllers and any other updates such as BIOS, drivers, etc through your computer's manufacture website under their Support section. Being behind on updates could cause the j5 device to not function as intended. We apologize for the convenience. j5create

    It does not work with MacBook Air or with MacBook Pro. Totally useless for Apple laptops. Search internet and you will see that no one could get it working with Macs.

      Proper installation is vital for the JUE130 to function as intended and we regret to hear you were unable to get it setup. Due to security prompts on macOS, we recommend contacting the support team mentioned on the casing and have a rep talk you through the whole process until you are able to surf the web.     After studying tutorials, I purchased this as recommended. Unfortunately it did not work for me. That being said, It very well may work for someone else in another way.

    Instructions in box did not go with product. Package says Windows10 compatible, but it isnt. Downloaded driver from website and doesn't work despite multiple installs and uninstalls.

    Software download not compliant with Apple security protocol. Customer service unreachable. Device will be returned for a refund.

      Proper functionality entails downloading and installing a driver on a Mac platform. Depending on the OS you have, different instructions apply. If you do not have administrative privileges on your computer user account, you will have to contact your system administrator, IT or help desk, and request that they install the driver software on the computer's local Admin account.     Tried several times to get it to work on my windows 7 machine, could not do it. Contacted tech support, they told me to do the exact same troubleshooting measures I had done prior to contacting them. Do not waste your money!!

    Ceased to work after 3 1/2 months use. Used it three days out of the week during that time. Just straight up died.

      Try uninstalling and reinstalling the drivers for the USB 3.0 Gigabit Ethernet Adapter. Reset the networking hardware, i.e. power-cycle the modem, or router. Power-off your networking hardware for approximately 30 seconds then power it back on. Cross-test the device with another Ethernet cable, or connect the Ethernet cable into another RJ45 port on the networking hardware. Try renewing the DHCP lease. Check if there are any available updates for your computer. Being behind on updates could cause the j5 device to not function as intended and in order to rule everything out we recommend contacting the Manufacture (of your computer) Support in order to have them assist you in properly updating your computer. ** If you require further assistance; please contact the j5create Technical Support team and they will be glad to further assist if necessary.     Not Plug and Play...

    I was on vacation and needed to plug either net directly into MacBook Air, i needed to install CD-Rom for instllation and my laptop does NOT have a CD slot. As i had no wi-fi, could not make this work.

    Computer doesn’t recognize it as a gigabit adapter. Only passes 10/100 even when in a USB-3 port on my laptop.

      The Ethernet Adapter supports 10/100/1000 Gigabit Ethernet connection over USB. There are a few options you can do such as Reconfigure the USB controller, Power Cycling Your Network Devices, and switch to Full Duplex.     I only get 5MB per sec download and upload. However It 10yr old PC, its save from me have try install Network 1Gigabit ethernet Card.

    It is seen in windows and mac and connects to the network at 1 GB. But speeds are more around 30 Mbps

    The port is not compatible with Apple’s Big Sur operating system. It’s only compatible with Catalina. I had to return the product.

      The USB 3.0 Gigabit Ethernet Adapter is intended to connect to a computer with an available USB Type-A connection (USB 3.0 is recommended) and the Ethernet side connects to a modem or router. An installation of a driver is required for functionality. This device will not work on a Nintendo Wii. j5create

    Awful product. Right away while removing the j5create - USB 3.0-to-Gigabit Ethernet Adapter from the packaging it crumbled into pieces.
