This product is good for anyone who uses a laptop for their main point of operation, from working to streaming games this product actually does exactly what you need it to do. Of course, there are different options out there such as getting one like this with 3 extra usb ports on it. I love this product, and it is very convenient for any laptop user who needs a way to hard wire & connect to their router via Ethernet cable.

I bought this adapter so I could troubleshoot my modem but my laptop doesn't have an ethernet port. It connected quickly and gave me a fast connection. Ended up using it to help check my handmade ethernet cables and worked like a charm.

Small, light and easy to use. It comes with DVD for drivers but you probably will not need it. It works really nice with Windows as well as Mac. Product support from j5create is just awesome

I had to wait for J5Create to make a driver for Sonoma, but once they did that, I was able to download the driver and install it. Once installed, I am getting the full speed of my IGB FiOS connection. I was hoping that no installation was required, but if you follow the instructions on their website, you'll get the adapter to work.

Affordable, easy to setup, nice color, and portable strong connect for any usb port to an exteral modem or smart tv.

Works great. Handy - very small to keep in my laptop bag without taking up a lot of space and without being heavy. Although I don't usually need to use it all of the time, it's great to have for when I do need it. In fact, just a few minutes before seeing the request from Best Buy to do a review of this, I was in a situation where I was downloading something from the Internet onto my laptop using the home's Wi-Fi, and I was in a corner of my home where the Wi-Fi signal is very weak and the large download was taking a much longer time to complete. There was a network cable outlet in the wall next to the laptop, and I had a network cable, but my laptop doesn't have a built-in network cable input. So, I went looking for my j5create Ethernet adapter to hook up everything, and downloaded the file much faster now that it was being downloaded through a hard-wired connection. So, it was actually a life-saver for me right before I started to write this review.

Most new laptops don’t come with the Ethernet port anymore, it’s all USB and USB-C. I needed to connect my laptop, and this was the best solution. Not expensive, and works great, haven’t noticed any issues with the internet speed, it is the same as my network. Good value for the money.

Needed this due to no Ethernet port in my laptop. Needed to plug in direct to modem for quicker speed. Absolutely works and install was a snap with Windows 10. Highly recommended ,

This is a Fast adapter and it is small as well. It should get a much stronger connection than wifi so I love it.

I bought this to replace a bad Ethernet port on my desktop. The PC does have usb 3.0 ports so this was the easiest fix. (prefer a wired connection on this desktop for frequent data transfers from a NAS). Pros - I can not provide raw data at the moment, but the connection is faster than the original Ethernet. Easy to install, no opening case to replace a NiC. Best Buy in store online order pickup was quick and efficient and I did not have to wait for UPS. Cons - Once in a while I turn on PC and the drivers for this device fail to load. Rebooting has always solved the problem. (Going to run HDD diag to ensure failing drive is not the issue here)

My dad’s Ethernet port on his CPU was fried after a storm due to the old outside copper Ethernet line around our house. Water became trapped inside that old line because the wire covering was old; and that water filled line was a perfect path for lightening to destroy his Ethernet port. Happily, Best Buy had this and so I brought it home and just plugged it into an empty usb port on his CPU… and now he has an Ethernet port and internet again! So easy! An excellent purchase! Thank you Best Buy so much!

My older desktop PC ethernet and Wi-Fi speeds were limited to 10/100 Mbps. I purchased the USB 3.0 to Ethernet adapter hoping it was backwards compatible with my older USB 2.0 port. Glad I did. Even with the limitations on my 2.0 port the adapter provided an increase to my internet speed 5 times greater than my original equipment. Easy to install, just plug and play with Windows 10. No drivers to install separately.

This is a super easy to use USB to Ethernet adapter. It is pretty much driverless since it will work with multiple types of devices without needing any software to be downloaded. We used it to replace a bad adapter on an Accuson Bonsai echo machine and it was picked up and worked right away even though the OS on echo machines is heavily locked down. Its easy. It works. Get it!

I bought an 8th Intel i5 generation HP Envy laptop and the laptop is very slim so we can't connect the Ethernet cable for internet at the office. this little device is the perfect adapter for that purpose: just plug-and-play and you're all set to connect with the Ethernet cable. and also small enough to carry around in the laptop slim case.

Easily allowed me to connect an ethernet cable to my computer. Set up was a little tricky though
