This adapter is a great adapter to use with a laptop when you want a better internet connection than what Wi-Fi provides. So far it works like a charm. I have Win 10 so you just plug this baby in and you're good to go.

One of miBoxes couldn't get solid full bandwidth connections, fortunately I had run CAT6 to this room for use with my now outdated WDTV streamer. The JCreate is one of only a few USB to wired ethernet adapters that works with the miBox. Plugged it in and no more issues with Amazon Prime video or with accessing files on my NAS. Smooth no jitter HD is once again in the living room. Some things just work better with a wire than with a wireless arrangement :-)

This was the 7th or 8th J5 I've bought for our office because of the configurations it can handle and the quality connection. We have lots of segments to our network and some require you set specific VLAN's on your adapter to access them, this is one of the few out there that lets you do that. We've dropped them, crushed them, and, once, accidentally lobed it across a room with an Ethernet cable (not me, a coworker :-} ) and we haven't had one die yet.

Video conferencing and VOIP phone applications on your computer can cut in and our if you do not have a stable network connection. A wired Ethernet connection will typically give you better speed and a more stable connection. Thank you for taking the time to write up a review.
