After much debating finally broke down and got this adapter to bypass the issues. This guy gives the same bandwidth that the onboard adapter without the buggyness. Never buying another rog motherboard again.

Lasted a few days past 4 months

Of course there is ZERO in store warranty, even with a receipt. Agent recommended I contact the manufacturer. I'll go elsewhere and buy a different adapter
