||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I honestly was told by my I.T guy to go to Office Depot and they didn't have it and I needed this immediately and it wasn't available so I went to Best Buy and did an in store pick up purchase and got in 10 minutes since both of these stores are only 5 blocks from my home. Best Buy is the way to go and I informed my I.T. guy that Best Buy had it.

I needed this item because my computer is 5 years old (takes a lickin' and keeps on tickin') and couldn't connect otherwise. This item works just as it said it would. I've been using it for 3 weeks or more on a daily basis with no issues.

This makes the connection faster and more reliable. One time it would not connect but I think my CAT5 plug is partly broken.

Strange USB 3.0 Issue

What's strange though is that when I use it with my Chromebook it only works with USB 3.0 when the laptop is plugged into the wall. I don't know if it's an issue with the adapter or my laptop.

Most tablets do have a USB port which is perfect for this adapter getting your device online if a more hard wired connection is required or your wi-if is just too slow. I used it to plug my Surface Pro to our company LAN.
