USB Mini Dock

Fortunately I had a son available to help get it set up and it's working fine!

The HDMI output work seamlessly and the additional ports were perfect. If you don't use too many devices you do not need to use the 5 volt adapter and plug this device in in order to use it. A great alternative to the Microsoft Surface dock at triple the price

Plug and play

Not only will you get the extra USB-A ports you will get HDMI, VGA, and Ethernet ports as well. Glad to hear that you got the dock set up easily. It is not quite plug and play as it does require a driver, but some operating systems will automatically download the driver.

The first one burn out after about a year and a half. It works very well to have multiple monitor just wish it would have two hdmi ports. There isn’t much drop off in resolution between the monitor connected to the hdmi and vga. Overall it’s a good buy for the price.

For 2 HDMI ports, we recommend the JUA365; in the case where you have USB-C, then the JCD381 would be the better option. Without using the optional USB power input it could drive my large screen monitor, but it wasn't very happy about it. :-) I replaced it with an actual Surface Dock on my desk. Still in my EDC kit for all the other helpful ports!

Does what it's supposed to do.

It does what it's supposed to do. It lacks features of other similarly priced docking stations, like audio jack and SD card reader. Getting it on sale helps. I like that it worked without downloading software or a driver.

I had several missteps as I tried to create a 2nd screen setting in my home office connected to my Surface Pro. I bought in my Surface Pro to Best Buy and the salesperson was able to solve with this mini docking station. Finally up and running!
