Good but Improvement Needed

However, the VGA port doesn't have the ability to screw the VGA into this docking station so that item is loose and gets disconnected very easily with a little movement of the cables. Would also be nice to have just one more USB port. With a printer, two monitors, a wireless keyboard and a wireless mouse, I am one port shy so I have to plug one in directly to my laptop. This can get a little tricky when trying to use the docking station and office set up for multiple laptops, as needed (e.g. one person in the AM, one in the evening).

Makes for dual monitors and extra ports

Requires drivers before installing / limited life

So this may have a limited life cycle.

Yes, this docking station does require drivers to function. The drivers are being updated to be compatible with MacOS Big Sur. Our driver software is available on our website.

Works but gets very hot

Other reviewers also commented on this, but it was one of the few USB 3.0 options available (most were USB-c) so I took my chances. However, after using it for a few days and not receiving a prompt response from the manufacturer, I decided to return it. 2) The other issue is that the port for the VGA connector (for the 2nd screen) doesn't have a way to screw the connector in place. That connector was loose and moving the cables or docking station slightly would disconnect the monitor.

Save yourself the trouble and get Microsoft hub

I had to purchase the Microsoft travel hub because J5create's data transfer is S L O W. Not as efficient or reliable.

Can only use one external HD at a time

I had to download my needed files to my computer then upload them to my other HD and it became a very tedious project.

Posted .Hey Carlos, I'm sorry to hear the JUD380 was not able to work with all your hard drives. Due to peripherals like hard drives requiring more power than what can be provided via a dock, we recommend connecting them directly to the computer instead of the mini dock. The computer's USB port power becomes divided to the whole hub, reducing the power available and therefore devices like hard drives are a hit or miss. We apologize for the inconvenience this caused. The USB ports are intended for mostly mice, keyboards, flash drives, web cams.
