I have purchased other products from J5 and their reputation continues to amaze me. I took it out of the box, plugged it into my monitor and then the laptop, and bingo it worked great! Great price and great performance.

I bought this to connect a 3rd monitor to my Macbook Pro. The monitor plugged into this display adapter has very bad refresh issues, but I use it mainly for static content like email / spreadsheets. One issue I've noticed recently is when I use Expose and drag a window onto the monitor or if i minimize / maximize an application to that monitor, my user session terminates and I'm taken back to the login screen. I haven't had the time to troubleshoot it, but its a minor inconvenience at this point.

It works as advertised. Nothing special, price was higher than normal, but I was traveling and I needed it.

Plug and Play to add additional monitors to my new laptop. Great device that allows the system to find its own drivers for a quick setup. Highly recommended for office work where multiple screens are needed.

I purchased this, but ended up not needing it. Returned it so I guess I'm just reviewing best buy return's policy. Good policy, I had opened the box and there was a small tear, but they still allowed the return. A+

Neither of my two portable computers recognized the device automatically. I could go to the control panel and command recognition each time I used it, but this would be quite inconvenient. And, once I did command recognition, the device didn't have sufficient capability to drive a TV screen. An image that exactly filled my computer screen was larger than the TV screen by at least 20% both vertically and horizontally. This was more than inconvenient, it lost significant information in images for my presentations.

I have a very long active HDMI and this was dropping out and flashing. Had to buy a powered USB hub and then it worked.

If this fits your needs and I can't see why not, this will allow you to connect anything to anything. Price is bit high though.

I purchased the adapter to connect my Dell Lattitude laptop and external monitor. From the very beginning I've had a recurring problem were the video connection disconnects, reverts back to the laptop, and most time reverts back to the monitor. I went back and forth with the products technical support but there was no solution. I have a suspicion it has something to do with the audio connection but can't be sure. Bottom line... $50 wasted.

This was a great multifunctional purchase for me. One of my macs has an HDMI outlet the other doesn't. It allowed me to use both my computers on a larger screen and made my work life much easier.

I literally plugged this item in, installed drivers and rebooted and it worked perfectly. I was not able to get the resolution i wanted but i believe this was due to the monitor and not this device.

Not flashy or cool, but does exactly what I needed to do - convert a usb display signal to an HDMI signal. Sometimes seems a bit patchy, but that could just as easily be the computer.

Returned it because it doesn't work with Oculus. It's not the dongle's problem, just Oculus requirements. Other than that, it's ok.

After doing a lot of research I decided to spend the extra on this product. To my surprise it was $15 off when I got to the store. Score! All works as advertised. Nice product.

New laptop didn’t allow for multiple monitors (only one HDMI port) but this quick fix solved the problem by adapting one of the multiple USB ports. Works likes a charm!

Works fine. I hope that the Technology doesn't advance to fast that this will become obsolete.

We use this for the rare cases that a computer doesn't have an HDMI port. We've only had one computer that it wouldn't work on.

I have one for my laptop and one for my wifes. We have had zero issues with these. Great product.

Not a bad device if you do not have anymore video outputs on your device. You need to install some drivers for it to work.

I got this just in case I get to an event and they have a projector set up and it will not work with any of my other adaptors. I have not had an occasion to use it yet.
