Unfortunately, the item I bought was a lemon and never worked for me so it had to be returned.

Tried to use it. Had problems with setting it up. Would only do extended screen and not duplicate screen.

this was recommended by the sales associate, but was not compatible with the apple laptop I had

Only 4 stars because of price. It worked, others did not, so I'm happy. Beware, if you need to connect a computer that only has a USB output to a device that only has HDMI input, this is what you want. The other way around is most common and easily confused. Be sure you know which way you want to go because they don't work backwards.

I use 3 of these on a daily basis, one on Windows 7 professional, and two on Windows 8.1 Professional in a six monitor setup. They are great for daily use, desktop publishing, productivity software, and general internet streaming/browsing. Although the product states that it uses usb 3.0, I can confirm they work via usb 2.0. I don't know how well the drivers on the disc work, as I downloaded the latest drivers from j5. I began using these adapters about 8 months ago, and I have not had any issues.

I had been using an extended desktop setup with my laptop and another monitor, but found I needed dedicated space for certain things to remain visible all the time (no spreadsheets or docs covering them). As a result, I decided to add my home PC monitor to my work setup. After many attempts, I discovered my laptop has only 2 GPU clocks... thus, only 2 monitors supported at a time, even though it recognized all 3. This device is perfect! It is essentially an external graphics card, and the PC recognized it immediately and all 3 monitors work together. I will restate what I read in another review. Go to their website and download the current drivers 1st !!!!!! Do NOT connect anything until the drivers are fully loaded and the PC has restarted etc. No Problems! I've only been using a couple of days, but no issues at all.

I have been searching for a solution that would allow me to attach a second monitor (total of three monitors, including laptop monitor) to my laptop for a while now. I have tried other usb to video converters, but none have had the quality and functionality of this one. I can see no noticeable lag when playing videos and movies on the connected monitor, though I have yet to try it for gaming. I also do not know how well this product performs over an extended period of time. When I was trying to set it up, I had it connected to a TV that I was planning on using as the third monitor. It was not working so I called there costumer service, and I have to say that they were great. Though they weren't able to fix the compatibly issues, I was able to fix it by using the adapter to connect to my monitor instead of the TV. So when you buy this product keep in mind that it may not be compatible with your TV.

I downloaded the driver, followed the instructions and am now running 2 external monitors off my laptop. One is an All in One Computer, and the other a Cheap TV, both are connected with HDMI. I have not experienced any "lag time" or slowness from the USB connected monitor, but my computer is fast, so that may be part of it. It does not come with instructions to configure the screens, but that is fairly simple. If you don't know how to do it there are many youtube videos.

i had picked up the targus usb 3 to hdmi returned it after two days thumbs down ...but this one is working great

Needed to connect Windows desktop without HDMI output to Plasma TV for second screen. Works like a charm. Setup is simple. Got a rocketfish hdmi cable to go with it.

TURN OFF AUTOMATIC WINDOWS UPDATE!!! I purchased the adapter after reading reviews. Product worked perfectly for 3 weeks and suddenly windows would not boot after a windows update. So I can't blame the JUA350 because I kept trying to make it work it again. Long story short, I have to delete JUA350 Driver for the Intel HD Graphics Driver to continue working. As HDMI runs through Intel GPU.

It was easy. I downloaded the drivers. I plugged it in and it worked. Reason for purchase.... my mini HDMI port on my Lenovo Yoga 3 was not connecting properly. So this allowed me to connect to a big monitor from a USB. I wish the price was a bit better. I paid $69.
