Since the standard is going to type C connectors and there are so many cables that don't have type C, this is a decent bridge in the mean time.

I had to remove my computer case for this adapter to fit. Other than that it works great.

Before I purchased this adapter, I lived in a van down by the river and aimlessly wandered the streets unsure about what would fill the small rectangular void in my life. Well, thank you, j5create. Thank you. The moment I locked my eyes on this item I knew my life was complete.

The new MacBook Air only has two ports, and they a re both USB 3.1. Either one can be used for charging, leaving only 1 for everything else. This device allows the MB Air to charge AND provide the second port for use as well. Makes "hooking up" easy!

This product does what it is supposed to do (and does it well), but I wish I would have bought the one with the HDMI on it. If you want to display the computer on the TV you'll need an Apple TV or Google chromecast or other device since this device does not have it.

I take this everywhere I go. It's probably the most useful "bridge" in connecting cables to ports on my MacBook. It's very satisfying to see it solve my problems. 10/10 would continually buy if it fails.

I bought this adapter to use with my new MacBook Pro 2016. Since the machine uses type c connectors I thought I would give this a try at the recommendation of a Best Buy employee. After I got home I learned that this adapter does not fit with a MacBook case on it. I tried but it’s a very loose connection. I ended up exchanging this for the Apple adapter which I am very pleased with.

I use this tongle for dual monitors. Beats playing all that money for a docking station

Don't expect magic, it does exactly what it supposed to do. Would have preferred and additional USB port on it.

nothing special but does work. slim form makes it easy to carry incase i need an extra usb port

I purchased this as a replacement to my 80 dollar j5create USB Type-C Multi-Adapter (JCA374), which doesn't seem to want to allow me to charge my MacBook 12" (2016) and keep my USB drive connected consistently.

I use this to charge my phone and to download pictures. It works great.

If you are buying a case to keep your Mac book pro safe, then don't buy this item as it doesn't connect in all the way, due to the case. You will need a device with a cord instead. However, if you don't plan on using a case, then this works fine.
