Perfect Docking Station for my MacBook Pro.

The cord storage is very convenient since I take this docking station with me when I travel. The usb-c fits perfectly in the Mac, a problem I have had in the past.

I also like that it tips the back of the laptop, helping with the cooling.

It good but not for 3440x1440

However, the HDMI, I can only get up to 50Hz for my 3440x1440 screen from the M1 Pro Mac. Originally, I though it might be my cable's issue, but when I plugged it into the Mac driectly, I can get 100Hz, so I think it is because of this dock.

Posted .The HDMI port will only support up to 3840 x 2160 @ 30 Hz. As for the 3440 x 1440, you may only get 50 or 60 Hz, maybe higher if possible. Please choose Apple menu > System Preferences, click Displays, then click Display. Press and hold the Option key while you click Scaled to see additional resolutions for the second display. Select a scaled resolution option for the second display.

Could not get external monitor to work with laptop on Display Port, finally paid Geek Squad to look at it and found it needed to be hooked up to a power source to make it work (just being connected to the laptop doesn't power it). Back of the box says must be connected to factory AC adaptor but they don't provide one. If you want to buy an adaptor it is over $50 more. 3. Doesn't have ability to pass through 120 hz on the display port but near impossible to figure it out because they don't provide any specs. 4. The power issue is the biggest draw back and this junk will be going back to Best Buy ASAP and super ticked I had to spend more money to figure out the power issue.

Posted .I sincerely apologize for the inconvenience you experienced. Computers must support PnP devices such as "DisplayPort Mode" for video out (HDMI port) and "Power Delivery" for pass-through charge. The Dock gets it's power from a computer and the power adapter provides additional power to power hungry USB devices. if your computer came with a USB-C power-brick 65W or higher, you can use it on the Dock or JUP2290, JUP34108 will be the power adapter. Theirs a lid on the top that necer quite closes properly. Its not that big of a deal since the laptop rest on that portion of it anyways, but i think it's worth mentioning. It's just cheaply made.
