I followed the driver instructions prior to installing and did a bunch of troubleshooting to no avail. Ended up returning.

Coil Whine - Returned!

Unless you work in a loud environment or this is placed away from your direct reach, the whine when power runs through the unit is too much for me. I wish this unit had worked out, as it was one of the only units from a reputable brand with a MagSafe Charger.

Dangerous to use, and its key features dont work

I bought this for the following reasons I wanted a 3.5 mm audio jack i wanted to have dual monitors supported i wanted to transfer files regularly to/from multiple usb drives Im giving this a one star because this thing only does one of those things and it does it dangerously. 1) usb audio -doesnt work at all with 3.5mm jack. the company has a website for drivers which do not work and they claim it not working as now a known issue that you learn about after spending over $100 on this to be quite frank, piece of junk 2) dual monitors - does not work at all. even following all support guides to the tee. I am not a non-tech person either, I am a senior software engineer and former tier 3 tech from corporate verizon wireless. i promise you on a 2019 macbook, this thing is worthless for dual monitors, it does not work and there is no useful support to troubleshoot 3) usb transfer. this thing overheats my usbs to the point where it actually burned my finger a little bit removing my usb while transferring files to it, after it had disconnected itself from my software while being plugged in and about to melt my thumb drive. not only is this thing useless to a modern mac user, its down right dangerous and i suspect it being involved in many electrical fires eventually. do not purchase, Best Buy please consider off shelving this expensive and dangerous piece of crap.

Posted .The USB-C Dock Dual 4K HDMI requires DisplayPort v1.4 alternate mode and USB Power Delivery 2.0/3.0 or 3.1. The HDMI 4K@30Hz port requires an installation of a driver. Depending on the OS you have, different instructions apply. If using a power supply with the USB-C Dock, ensure it is compatible and is functioning properly. Using an incorrect or faulty power supply can lead to overheating. Please contact our Technical Support Team, so that they can get more information from you regarding the 3.5mm jack not working. The unit died 6/16/2025. After many, many discussions with J5 Create, they gave me a new unit at the end of June 2025. That unit died on 10/25/2025. Didn't even last 4 months. DO NOT BUY THIS PRODUCT!!!
