Had to go down to 1920x1080 on dual 4K monitors because only supports 1080 on second monitor connection. This limitation should be spelled out up front. Would not have gotten this item, if knew this limitation ahead of time. Have used to connect laptop to one 4K device, LG tv, to view in family room. Gets very hot in that application viewing HBO video on large screen TV.

Posted .Hello dart007vader, unfortunately the JCD381 only supports one HDMI display at 2k resolution and the other HDMI port supporting up to 4k resolution. Finally a product that's compatible!

Literally just plug, download drivers and play. I use this to hook up 2 monitors with my HP laptop. The price was slightly over my budget but it was less expensive than HP dockings stations. Everything is working and I have not had any issues. The docking station gets a little hot after long hours of use but other than that I am pleased with my purchase.

Simply plug and play, connect lap top to multiple screens, remote keypad and many other accessories. Even this 60+, not computer savvy individual had zero problems achieving connection goals.

It's no Dell 3100.

You absolutely have to download a driver to get it to work properly. It's not plug and play but easy enough. Biggest complaint is it only outputs 55 to 60w if plugged in so you will receive a Windows warning if running a modern 65w Laptop saying power not compatible. But it still does charge and your computer will adjust to lower wattage. Overall...so so for 100 bucks. Great if it were 50.

Posted .Hello, thank you for your feedback. The USB Type A and Ethernet ports are PnP but the dual HDMI ports require drivers. The power-in port supports up to 60W.

As I use multiple laptops, I find it easier to plug and unplug the dock from one laptop to the other. Initially something was always not working; either the monitor or the keyboard but never both at the same time. I ended up having to reach out to support and exchanging it. Still took a few times, before it became seamless of plugging into one and then into the other and everything would work. I like that it is compact. I do wish the external plug was a little longer

Does the job at an affordable price

There are enough ports so I could also hook up a webcam for conference calls. Only real downside is it doesnt charge the laptop so I also have to use the laptop power cable, but the price makes that only a small nuisance.

My wife and I are both forced to work from home and she needs multiple monitors for her position. This was a great buy and a good price.. my only concern is that is runs REALLY hot. I'm concerned that it will burn out sooner rather than later with repeated use.

My mistake was I did not know USB-C does not pass the power thru as TBolt3 cable at work does. Learned something new! No issue as I then use the power that came with the laptop directly. Other than that, new HDMI cable to replace the previous laptop video output and works great! Synched and performs flawless so far. This is the 2nd product I bought from J5Create, and both have been working admirably.
