Allowed me to add 3 monitors to my laptop - 2 through this device and one through the laptop HDMI. Works well. Runs very warm.

These USB-C hubs are very expensive for what they are. If I didn’t absolutely need one to make my laptop more functional, I would never think of buying one of these. I fell in love with a laptop that didn’t have many ports, and paying lots of money for these cheap hubs will definitely change my mind about a future laptop that doesn’t have all the ports I will need.

This is small and portable easy for me to use at home and the office.

Great product I have a few of these for different computer hook ups. This is perfect for dual monitors.

The docking station requires the installation of a driver/software prior to initial use. From there I have not faced any additional work, hassles, or issues (purchased ~2 months ago). The packaging instructions were easy to understand and made the installation process quick and painless. I was up able to install the driver and have my display preferences set in 5-10 minutes. I use the docking station so that I may connect a third computer monitor while working from home. The driver software allows any of the connected devices to be set as the primary screen, which is a subtle value-add (for example, I use a larger monitor as my middle monitor and having this monitor set as the default monitor enhances my user experience. Another nice touch is that you can choose the order in which connected devices are displayed. For example, with three screens, the monitor to my left is display two, and the monitor to my right (which is actually my laptop) is display three. This allows me to move my mouse to the left or right and is intuitive to use.

It's a good dock but not great - especially for a hundred bucks. Runs cooler than some of the belkin docks we've bought recently. It works and does what it says it does and you definitely get dual extended monitors with resolution up to 4K so you might have to do some doublechecking that your hardware that you're connecting to it actually supports what you're trying to accomplish with this thing because in my case, after using several of these, they're definitely not the bottleneck with getting things connected the way we want to. The dock connects easily. Setup was plug and play. You might want to grab a three or six foot USB-C extension cable. The cable connecting to the computer is short and kinda limits where you can run your cables to. I wouldn't even think about trying to connect a computer's USB-C power adapter through this thing. I've never had a dock that's done it well and even though I haven't tried it on this one I think it's just a bad idea in general. My only real gripe is that you don't get a lot of connections for 99 or 129 dollars (depending on when you buy it). There's a whole other side of this thing that could be used for a couple more usb ports or maybe an sd card connector. You can get all of that and more for a little more than half of the price of this dock at other places. It is nice to be able to grab one in a pinch though.

Works ok the PC has a problem with it m, but it is small and is better than a big one.

Got this for temporary use at work. We will be transitioning to a new building and all moving to laptops. Since desktops are going away I decided to stop using mine and turn it in to IT. Running two 32 inch, 4K, desktop displays from laptop with this adapter. Nice to be able to use three displays. The second desk display connected to this dock can't run full resolution, but that really has not been a problem. Most USB-C docks that can run 2 or more displays at highest resolution without issue are way more expensive than this one. And since I really only need it in the interim, I'm quite satisfied. Also chose this dock because it includes an ethernet port, as the laptop does not have one built in. Network connection works great without any issues.

As a long-time office worker I am accustomed to a more traditional "docking station" where you actually dock your laptop on the docking station, where it is powered and all of your peripheral devices are also plugged in. This device is more of a "hub" to plug in multiple monitors and usb drives, but you still have to open your laptop to power it on and then make sure you have it set up correctly with multiple monitors before you close it so it isn't taking up space on your desk. Also, I have not been able to get the power cord to work so that my laptop is charged while connected to this "docking station", so I had to purchase another charger to keep in my laptop bag. It works well as a hub but not so much a traditional docking station.

I tried two other similar devices (returned) before getting the j5create, primarily to drive two external HDMI monitors from my laptop. Also use it for a USB numeric keypad. All work great, and come back from a laptop sleep cycle properly, though I did need to add the optional USB power cable to get the monitors powered enough. My only problem seems to be latency on the second USB port, because I can’t add a mouse or external drive. Luckily I can live without these or use a different laptop port.

I read a few reviews on this docking station before I bought it. I have a Lenovo Flex 14 laptop that has minimal amount of ports. I connected this to the USB C port and then connected two monitors via hdmi, a hard drive and a mouse to this device! Everything works! I have three monitors now! Happy with it!

Simple, small and effective. Needed the two hdmi ports for additional monitors which made this a perfect fit. The USB-C port was useful in using newer devices.

Runs hot. Works most of the time unless it decides to randomly shut down.

Gives me 2 screens and a place to plug in my keyboard and mouse. My only gripe is it requires extra software to run. The instructions almost point you to the correct download place. They give enough information to Google where to actually get the software. Once there, it gives little confidence that it's real.

It's nice, it works just like I expected it would, so I am happy with this product.

Works well, have my KVM switcher plugged into this. This allows me to switch between my work laptop and personal laptop quickly and then move all USB inputs to my desktop pc quickly when needed. Reason for -1 star is I could not plug both ultrawide monitors into this dock and retrieve the desired resolution - the solution was to plug the 34” monitor into this adapter and plug the 49” monitor into the laptop HDMI port.

So far so good. However, please take note that this dock does not provide power to laptop. You have to use the laptops own USB-C power adapter. Like other j5 products, you need to download latest drivers before using. other than that, works really well for now.

This was good for connecting two monitors for a laptop. For the price it was great. Only reason I didn't give it a 5 was because of not providing power back to the laptop.

The product configuration itself is good. But, for those of you with new Macbook Pro or Air laptops with the M-1 chip, as it turns out, this hub will NOT work/interface. This is because J5Create is yet to make downloadable drivers that will interface/work with the new M-1 chip.
