Not worth it, needs optional power adapter

To use a second monitor and have speakers you need to use the optional power supply, which the manufacturer doesn't offer through their website, and is not possible to purchase at BestBuy. I purchased a different brand to fit my need.

Stay away from this if you have or have plans to upgrade your mac to 11.1

Keyboard/mouse plugged in becomes unresponsive

Every 5-10 minutes, the mouse/keyboard will become unresponsive for 5-10 seconds. I tested both USB ports on this device and both showed the problem. With the keyboard/mouse plugged directly into the laptop, they are completely responsive. Additionally, when the same laptop uses another brand of USB-C docking station, there are no problems. So the issue does not appear to be the laptop or keyboard/mouse, since the only common factor to the problem is this docking station.

Posted .Unfortunately, the issue that you are experiencing is likely due to radio frequencies interference (RFI) caused by USB 3.0 devices. The signal from USB 3.0 devices can interfere with wireless devices operating within the 2.4GHz band. Alternatively, we recommend that you use wireless devices which operate within the 5GHz range, as they will not encounter as much radio frequency interference with USB 3.0 devices. Or a wired K+M. Also the product would not work in clam shell mode based on the "beta" drivers. Spend the money and get a true thunderbolt 3 hdmi adapter.

Not great for what it costs

While working on the computer I get a notice that my battery is almost dead. The plug just slips in an out. You would think for 100.00 it would be better quality.

Didn’t operate as advertised.

Upon plugging into my Mac, I was unable to get video to work and ultimately learned that the device was not in fact set up to support video on a Mac. I ended up returning it, disappointed.

Complicated and laggy

There's a series of steps you have to do before connecting the monitors or the ethernet port with the drivers. and the biggest problem is the latency, both monitors (high end editing monitors) were laggy as a 19FPS video in slowmo. If you are considering this adapter for gaming or video editing or even to play videos from YouTube, please choose another option.

Not only does it not support even a single monitor, the help j5create provides is abysmal. After an initial response with some limited suggestions, none of which worked, they refused to offer any additional help, even after reaching out through the e-mail they offered.
