    Absolutely not worth the price. Within a month one of the USB ports stopped working then the second one stopped and guess what now all the ports stopped working and i can’t return this piece of junk!!

    Bought this in March 2024 and as of today June 2024 it is no longer working… The manufacturer is willing to exchange but I have to cover shipping and they won’t mail another until after the return has been received. Very frustrating.

    Tried to hook up MacBook Pro to two monitors by HDMI. Did not work. Needed downloads and security workarounds. Too much trouble so I returned. Purchased Satechi product and it worked like a charm.

      Hi!

      I'm very sorry for the inconvenience this has caused you. This device needs a driver because USB Type-C cannot natively output 2 displays at the same exact time. Therefore the device has to utilize resources from the graphics card/chip in order to output a display. As the USB Host Controller cannot natively communicate with the graphics controller a driver is necessary to bridge that gap, and allow multiple displays to be outputed through the USB Type-C port.     I would not recommend this, it cuts out all the time causing me to be on my wifi all the time instead of on my network. Also causing everything from my second monitor to move over to the first monitor. Not ideal. I will be looking for something else.

    Devices operate slowly thru this device. The do not react as quickly as if the cables were put into the computer itself.

    Had the ports I needed but not compatible with Mac Big Sur. The box should have clearly specified this, very disappointed.

Being behind on updates could cause the j5 device to not function as intended.     This item was made with very cheap materials. Both USB ports broke within a week. I do like having two HDMI ports and the either net port. Unfortunately, sine the USB port broke, I had to buy another mini docking station. I bought another i5Create model and it seems to be working fine. On this model, be sure to download the Windows driver from their website. It will resolve a conflict with the WIN10 operating system. Also, Best Buy would not take this back.

    The port configuration did not work well for my home office need. The dual-monitor configuration kept switching locations requiring & a reset on display locations.

    This is not worth the money. Paid $120 for this thing, replaced it once and ended up returning the second one for an insignia adaptor. It didn't output proper resolution when connecting to external monitor and couldn't handle the graphics from my MacBook Pro. The insignia I replaced it with was less than half the price and is superior.

    Don’t buy lots of errors does not do plug & play

    I had to download drivers like it was the 90s and then I got errors on my screen every time I try to use it it was ridiculous I returned it immediately and bought the Apple product that does the same thing for less money and worked exactly the way it should you plug it in and no problem

    Bought for my son for his college laptop. First time plugging in a USB cable the port broke inside the plug. Thankfully this happened same day as the purchase. Returned successfully. Definitely a manufacturing issue as the plastic part of the port disintegrated as we removed it from the USB plug. Bought a different brand hub from Newegg instead.

    This is the second missed appointment from the Geek Squad. Purchased an expensive TV, added the extended warranty. Needed a repair. Now second no show for geek squad. I have taken 12 hours from my work waiting for no shows. No call, and no apology. Still not repaired. Asked to speak with a manager... Maybe they will call tomorrow. Stay away from best buy, geek squad and extended warranty. Sent a similar review after last no show and did not receive call regarding those concerns

    Junk & Best Buy wouldn't stand behind it

    This was purchased as part of a large onb-line order while store was closed with the guidance of a sales associte over the phone. Order included 2 monitors, cables, etc. Sold me a windows keyboard and mouse for my mac...didn't work properly and it was a fight to get them to take the return. One of the ports in the docking station stopped working within a month. Best Buy told me to deal with the manufacturer. Really dissatisfied with Best Buy and will not shop with them again.
