    If you have a Macbook with the most recent OS or plan to update it, DO NOT buy this product! They have not updated their drivers so my docking station is a brick.

    Worked great - until it didn't

    I purchased this unit a few months ago so that I could attach dual monitors to my Lenovo laptop. It worked - then stopped working - then it seemed to resolve itself. Now, I cannot get it to recognize my monitors that are plugged into the J5create HDMI ports. I've tested plugging the HDMI cords directly into my computer (i only have a single port, unfortunately). But this stupid thing will not work. Very frustrating - for $99, it should last more than a few months! I do NOT recommend.

    Works on PC, Issues with Mac

    I have had this device for about 10 months. My mac kept having issues when waking from sleep where the screen would be blank requiring a hard restart. Sometimes the computer would automatically restart and would show it did so due to an error. Long story short and after several visits to Apple, they refreshed my computer to its original state. When I installed the driver, the issue reoccurred. I removed the driver, the computer is fine. When I use this with my PC, it works fine.

    Terrible - save yourself the headache

    Terrible. Super complicated setup - installing drivers etc. HDMI port should be a simple plug and play. I have had this for months and not used it because the setup is terrible.

    Don't buy it. You'll be wasting your money. It works great when you first buy it for 3-4 months, and then it breaks. Just like every other dock or dongle they make.

    Yet to get it to work on a laptop

    Basically an expensive door stop. Work PC has usb c 3.1 port, but doesn't load drivers and they are not available from j5create. Worse than trash, trash just gets dumped in the rubbish bin. This thing wastes TONS of you time with basically the same result.

    Doesn't Last

    Best Buy recommended this when I set-up my home office a little over a year ago and it stopped working last week. I have a laptop and 2 monitors, nothing fancy. 14 months later and I'm buying another docking station because this one no longer works.

    Save your money and buy another brand or high end docking station. The wireless mouse barley works, I have to constantly pull the thunderbolt connection out in order to rest the device.

      Ensure that you are using quality HDMI cables capable of handling the resolution and refresh rate of your displays. Poor-quality or damaged cables can often lead to finicky connections. Double-check the settings on your monitors to ensure they are configured correctly. Ensure that they are set to the appropriate resolution and refresh rate for your setup. Make sure that computer has the latest firmware and driver updates installed. Ensure that the dock is receiving adequate power through it's USB-C power-in port. Make sure the power supply is connected and working correctly. j5create

    WORST COMPANY EVER. THEY DONT KNOW WHT THEY ARE TALKING ABOUT WHATSOEVER. they had we 100% wipe my computer for absolutely no reason. and there product still isnt working. when i called them and told them what was going on, they hung up on me. TWICE. NEVER DO BUSINESS WITH THIS COMPANY

      I'm so sorry to hear that this happened. At most we ask you to roll back an OS and walk you through that steps. Unfortunately that means that if your computer was wiped there was an error in following those instructions or a deeper issue with apple or windows. In the mean time I hope that you have found a device that better suits your needs and you've been able to get up and running to your specifications.
