It works well with my HP laptop and comes in handy in the office. Even on the go and I need to use several things to plug in my computer it is great. It was suggested by one of the Best Buy employees and I love it. I may need another one just to have at home.

USB-C Multi Adapter

My new computer did not have an Ethernet port. At my desk, Ethernet is faster than wireless. This also has an HDMI plug in so you can unplug 1 connection and your computer is ready to travel. I don't use the HDMI feature because the adapter gets very hot. All in all I like it.

Great USB-C port extender with Ethernet and HDMI

Gives good video clarity, Ethernet works fine, mouse and keyboard work fine. No issues.

I would have liked a longer USB C cord, and I've ordered an extension so I'll have more flexibility in placement.

If the hub ever becomes hot to the point where it is smoking or harming you, please don't hesitate to reach out to the support team and seek an exchange under the manufacturer's two year warranty.

However it gets very hot, and thats without using the power pass-thru. Haven't tried that so no idea how much hotter it would get. IMO the high heat will lead to short life. I have other J5create products and do not have this issue. So it's either a design flaw, or I managed to get a lemon.

Perfect for Laptop
