If the adapter ever becomes hot to the point where it is harming you, we recommend reaching out to the technical support team mentioned on the casing and a rep will be happy to exchange it under the manufacturer's two year warranty.

It is okay not too good

I do not know about apple mac's if that charges or not but iPad's do not charge at the same time. Item can be use after charging iPad it full level. Ethernet works just fine and card readers are wonderFul for iPads Also as usb ports. No complains so far besides charging issues.
