Great for 2016 Macbook Pro

The friendly consultant at my local Best Buy found this for me when they were out of stock of USB-C to HDMI plugs. This covers the circle of providing ethernet, HDMI, and USB plugs. I also appreciate the power plug pass through, which I find useful in keeping other ports free. I wouldn't wish for much more on a single device, so I have to rate it what the value has been for me.

Although im not too familiar with the brand name, it beats out anything else close to it. I can hook my second monitor along with multiple device and they all perform at top rate. Impressive.

It was inexpensive, easy to set up, and works great. I now have power, ethernet, and a couple USB devices all working through the single USB-C connection. Easy to plug in when I sit down, and unplug when I'm ready to go. Just remember, if you're on MacOS, be careful to remember to eject any USB drives connected to it before disconnecting from your computer. It's easy to forget when they're not sticking out of your notebook's USB port. ;)

The first one didn't charge the phone at a goid rate so I was disappointed (reason for 4 stars). I returned it, and almost gave up, when I decided to try a 2nd one because an employee said maybe it was defective. 2nd one worked perfect, I could use all the features on my note8 including the Ethernet port.

Great all-in-one USB C hub
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.A quick hint/warning to Mac owners - please follow the printed directions and install the driver before plugging this little guy in. (I learned this the hard way.) I use this on my MSI Ghost 4K laptop as well as a 2016 Touchbar 15" MacBook pro. I used to have two hubs - one with ethernet and the other with HDMI/VGA. This easily replaced both. I have had almost all ports in use on this hub on both Windows and Mac with no issues. The HDMI easily drives a 4K tv/monitor. If you are a road warrior, this little guy works great.

Apple only gives us the USB-C / Thunderbolt port but this makes it easy to connect a big monitor, USB thumb drives and plug into ethernet. Also access external hard drives. I must have. Only drawback s it's kind of big

It does run warm because there is a power supply inside. To lessen the power draw from your computer, there is port which accepts power from a USB-C adaptor. I plan to get the power adaptor when I use more features.

But I can’t figure out what the 2 extra pieces of racks are for. There seems to be no purpose for them and no directions on how or where to attach them. The installers did a quick and good job.
