Annoying to need this cheap accessory

Owned for 9 months when reviewed.This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.It’s unfortunate Apple chooses to make iMacs so basic that you have to purchase these cheap adapters to plug things in. In some cases they aren’t powerful enough for the accessories to work. It’s also a hassle to constantly plug and unplug things because you’re so limited due to the lacking design to plug things in which should not be an issue to begin with.

Posted .If you are using high-powered USB devices, attach a USB-C power adapter to the power delivery port to ensure maximum performance. When using a USB-C power adapter, the multi-adapter powers both the adapter (with attached peripherals) and your laptop.

I’ve ordered better adapters off of Amazon for a fraction of the price and better build quality. It feels cheaply made and it’s totally plastic. It works fine. I haven’t had it long enough to see how well it holds up through travel.

Posted .The USB-C Multi-Port Hub with Power Delivery will get warm when it's transferring data or charging devices connected to it, particularly if you have several things connected at once. The constant transfer between the two causes the heat up as it takes energy to move data. Through repetitive use, excess energy is used and transformed into heat.
