My previous company laptop has one HDMI and one mini-display port. Then, I could use the dual monitors when I work at home. Later I received a new company laptop, but this one has only one HDMI and one type C. In the office, the company provided the dedicated docking station through type C to use the dual display, but I could not bring this docking station home every day. I checked any possible way to use the dual display at home, and found some type C adapter to provide dual display port, but mostly they have one HDMI + one VGA. I asked the company IT guy about the compatibility of this third-party type C adapter, but he could not verify it. Later, I found this product and tried it out; it works perfectly as I expected. Now I can use the dual monitors, one with HDMI and the other one with this cable. And cheaper than any type C adapter. If you are looking for the connection to the dual display, you have to consider this.

We needed a cable to connect to the TV in our hotel so that we could show streamed movies. This cable worked great for connecting my new iPad with a usb-c connection to a hotel TV that didn't have a wifi based streaming connection. HDMI is almost always available in TV's even when a wifi streamiing connection isn't available.

That "other" store sells similar products even this same one a little bit cheaper. In any case, this cable works as promised. It basically "mirrors" what is on your phone's screen. Once a movie is playing it switches it to match the TV size. But phone screen mirroring, then it keeps the screen in portrait with black bars on either side. I am assuming that this is how they do video screen captures on some of those YouTube videos. There is no way to turn off my phone's screen while it is mirroring on a TV monitor (so I had to turn my screen side down), If watching a movie, the phone screen stays on and therefore will make your phone (and cord) hot. So be careful on long movies. Cord does not charge your phone when screen mirroring. And in order to get really good HD quality for broadcasts on your TV monitor, your phone's image quality needs to be amped up to its highest HD setting (mine is WQHD+) then it will come across as 1080p. Otherwise, it'll be more like 720p even 480p. Overall this cord is awesome.

Bought as a replacement when the work monitor stopped working. Has worked well, and it was nice to be able to go pick one up and use it right away rather than order one and have to wait!

This is an excellent cable. Used it successfully with a MacBook Pro and iPhone 17 to display video on a large 4k television. Provides sharp picture with audio. Even tried kinking it like a garden hose and it didn't impact the video. If you have a device with USB connectors and a need to connect to HDMI televisions and monitors then this is the cable you want.

I don't have a smart tv and I'm too lazy to figure out chromecast or any of that. This cord was purchased to connect my Samsung Galaxy S8 to a 42" Phillips tv. Connection is good, not much lag, sound is good, only issues are that 1) it doesn't charge my phone when plugged into the tv (minus 1 star) and 2) it overheats my phone which drains the battery faster (minus another star)

I bought this because I've had a recurring issue with my Macbook where the screen blacks-out and is non-resolvable without sending it in to get fixed. After triple-tapping the power button to enable voiceover on my Mac--so that I can enter my username and password without seeing the screen--I needed to back my computer up and was desperate for a resolution, so I bought this and plugged it into the tv, which not only displayed on my television but fixed the continual screen issue, so that I can see and back up my documents, at least, and send in my computer without losing all of my data this time! This is also handy for watching movies that I can't transfer from one of my television's movie apps to the other; plug and play. Nice investment!

A very useful wire. Since it's HDMI to Type-C, you can connect it to any phones and tablets. It also supports 4K, so the output from the wire to the TV is great. The wire is solid quality and has amazing performance. I would recommend anyone to buy!

Sturdy cable. Well made and durable. Connectors make contact firmly and you will feel confident that they will not randomly disconnect. Well worth the money. I liked it so much, I went back and bought an extra for future use.

Works great! It seems to be good quality and not one of those cheap ones where the wire insulation deteriorates quickly. Connections are snug (not too tight and not too loose) so QC was good and within spec.

Currently, I own a 2016 base model MBP. I decided to upgrade my monitor to a 4k 28in Samsung monitor that supports 4k at 60hz. Initially, I was using the Apple AV Adapter to output video but noticed the screen would stutter constantly. I found this was a common issue with dongles and decided to purchase this cable. While it fixes the initial stutter issue it still makes the connection laggy and does not support the full 4k resolution. I recommend if you own a late 2016 MBP or newer to go with a USB C to DisplayPort or another adapter that does support the HDMI 2.0.
