This is a simple display cable that is good for connecting an additional monitor or mirroring your smart device. For this cable to function the USB-C port that it is plugged into must support display port alternate mode.

So instead of spending time straining my eyes to do Photo Edits on a 13.3 inch screen, I can sit back and work without any issues on my 27 inch BenQ Monitor. As usual, Best Buy assisted my needs. Connections with this cable is seamless.

No 4K at 60hz

I decided to upgrade my monitor to a 4k 28in Samsung monitor that supports 4k at 60hz. Initially, I was using the Apple AV Adapter to output video but noticed the screen would stutter constantly. I found this was a common issue with dongles and decided to purchase this cable. While it fixes the initial stutter issue it still makes the connection laggy and does not support the full 4k resolution. I recommend if you own a late 2016 MBP or newer to go with a USB C to DisplayPort or another adapter that does support the HDMI 2.0.
