This cable is good for connecting a device like a computer, smartphone, or tablet to another display like a computer monitor or even a television. Your device will need to support a feature called display port alternate mode to send video to the display. I hope that you find a use for the cable.

First time using from chromebook to tv, it read the Samsung TV, and well that was it, never did again. I also didn’t think the C connection wasn't that good as it seem to wiggle too much. Upgraded to a Platinum cord and haven’t had any issues since. Reads tv all the time and the connection is much more secure.

Posted .Depending what Make and Model phone you have, it must support "DisplayPort Mode" for video out. The other option is JUA165C, which does not require "DP Mode". Please refer to the manufacturer of your hardware for more information on your device.

Set up the monitors all is working well. The first thing I noticed when I connected my monitors is that a warning flashed on the screen to use "the right cables". Kinda threw me back, just ignored it as it was working. Two days passed, I was working on a project and bamn, one monitor just went dark. Long story short, called Apple support and was asked what cables was I using, when I told the Apple tec, he told me it was the cables. He suggested ANKER cables, they are the best to work with Apple products. Ordered ANKER cables USB Type C to HDMI, viola! No warning messages and no monitor black outs. PC these cables work great, Apple products NOT AT ALL!
