It is great to hear that it was easy to use. Regarding losing the ability to adjust contrast; some monitors will adjust the display settings to what it considers “optimal” depending on the display input. You may want to see if you can change display settings with your video card, or contact LG for assistance.

easy fix to connect your laptop/chromebook to a TV

This was around $20 and worked as needed and of course also works with our Windows laptop.
