Good but could be better

Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed.This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.This was a mixed experience the adapter does work to push video to an external monitor but if you try and charge another device like an iPhone it stops being able to charge the iPad and slowly loses charge even though you connect to power via the pass through USC port.

Posted .USB-C hubs and adapters that support Power Delivery have a power-sharing limit. When you connect multiple devices to the hub, it divides the available power among them. This can lead to reduced charging speed or inability to charge certain devices if the total power requirements exceed the hub's capability. Use a 100W power-brick to charge device like an iPhone and iPad, via the USB-C power-in port on the Adapter.

The USB type C port on the adapter will support passthrough charging to your laptop but is not required to operate the adapter. Is it messing my sound up

I don’t think it will last very long, unless it is left alone on your desk to maintain connections with cables (and not constantly played with by plugging and unplugging cables, like using it for traveling). These hubs should not cost what they charge for them. If you need it, you have to pay up, but there should be lower cost solutions.

Doesn’t Work with Everything

As well as an iPad Pro. I used my personal laptop as well as another MacBook Pro, same year as the MacBook Air and it worked with the Pro.
