Posted .The JCA379 will not only convert video from USB-C to HDMI. It will allow for pass through charging and it will give you and extra USB-A port. All of this with out needing any drivers.

Unable to get it to work as it didnt seem to work well with my phone. Could have been due to my phone being an older model. Will try once I get an upgrade.

Salesman recommended this item. Does the job but connection to lap top isn’t tight and frequently needs to be adjusted to keep second monitor lit

Posted .The USB-C to HDMI & USB 3.0 with Power Delivery is a Plug n Play device that uses a computer's hardware to function. Make sure the USB-C cable is not loose and is securely plugged into your computer or if you have other USB-C ports (DisplayPort Alt Mode and USB Power Delivery 2.0 or 3.0 compatible) on your computer. If possible, connect the adapter to another compatible device, such as a different computer, and see if it works properly. Visit the manufacturer's website of your computer and check if there are any driver or firmware updates available. Installing the latest updates might resolve any compatibility issues or bugs. Posted .Not charging while viewing movies is unacceptable - we apologize and wish to make it up to you. The JCA379 is capable of supporting video output and charging simultaneously; in the case that the phone was not charging, it is possible the gadget could've been defective in which case we would recommend an exchange or you may have needed to use a higher-wattage power adapter.
