Frustrated and disappointed

I specifically called ahead and asked the person if you had the item I wanted. The guy said yes, in stock at the store. I drove around 30 miles and tons of traffic to get there just to find out you didn’t even carry the item I called about! A female employee then told me “you can’t trust what the phone people tell you bc they work at call centers “!! So I will not ever call again.

Posted .Multiplying the capabilities of a USB-C port on your Mac is doable with the JCA379; now you can charge your computer while adding another screen to your set up in one.

Will not charge device
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I specifically asked the sales associate at Best Buy if this would charge my tablet while using it and a mouse, and it does not. I don't expect them to be able to answer every single question, but if you're going to answer, know the answer. Very frustrating. This accessory serves no purpose if it can't supply charging power to the device it's connected to. Should have gotten the Samsung Multi-Port Hub instead.

Does not work well with Samsung Note 8

It "works" in that it does output to HDMI, but the charging pass-through does not charge the Note 8 faster than the phone uses battery (or really at all). This product only seems good for short periods of use, unless you fully charge your phone beforehand.

Doesn't Fully Work

Posted .Finicky HDMI connection can be annoying and ruin a good night; we apologize for the experience you had with the JCA379. It is possible the HDMI cable you were using may have been defective, or the JCA379 itself required an exchange. In this case, we would recommend contacting support on the casing to speak to a rep and narrow down the root of the problem and they will be happy to assist.

I showed my phone to sales associate and he suggested this item. When it did not work I googled and found that my phone did not have a required technology. So, not sure how product would have worked.

Does Not Work On My Nitro 5 Laptop

I have returned the item a while back when looking for the right USB to HDMI cable.

Posted .It appears the Nitro 5 laptop does not specify whether or not it supports video output via USB-C and therefore we cannot guarantee the JCA379 will work for your needs. Because you have USB 2.0 ports on there, we can recommend a JUA254 for example and that will work for you once you download and install the software required.
