Unfortunately when I tried connecting it to my iPad to screencast it, it only showed the Lock Screen and it wouldn’t show beyond that. I bought an actual Apple one and that one worked wonderfully, so unfortunately this one just didn’t work whatsoever.

Posted .Not charging while viewing movies is unacceptable - we apologize and wish to make it up to you. The JCA379 is capable of supporting video output and charging simultaneously; in the case that the phone was not charging, it is possible the gadget could've been defective in which case we would recommend an exchange or you may have needed to use a higher-wattage power adapter. I wanted to have another monitor attached to my new iMac and I was told this would do the trick. Even though the iMac recognized the external monitor the external monitor would never work and did not recognize the iMac.For what its worth I don't know who was at fault the monitor or the port.

Thank you for providing a review of the J5Create adapter. This is a good device for the value. I am sorry to hear that you are not able to charge your laptop through the adapter. The adapter is designed for pass through charging to keep your laptop charged while using it with the adapter. However in some cases you may need a higher wattage charger to power your device and the adapter than what came with your laptop.
