The JCA379 should be compatible with MacOS Big Sur as it does not require drivers to function. Defective after a few months

Does not work for Netflix Or Hulu

I would not recommend this for anyone who wants to do that with there phone .

In order for subscription based services to be displayed onto an external display from your computer or phone, your setup, from devices to cables to adapters to software drivers and displays, must all be HDCP compliant.
We confirm that j5create USB display adapters are HDCP complaint.
A few troubleshooting steps that you may want to try:

It is a hit or miss to actually get this adapter to work. Often I would experience black screens when using this adapter.

The product information and setup guide was not readily available online, you have to dig and research. I ended up returning it and going with insignia which works perfectly and is cost effective
