Posted .Emilio, Depending on the power requirement of the phone, charging through the JCA379 may or may not work. This would be due to a higher wattage power requirement needed. Because the JCA379 is a plug and play model, it requires that your computer, phone, or tablet support charging and DP alt-mode via USB-C; in the case where the USB-C on your device does not support such feature, the JCA379 will not fully work for you. However, computers must support USB Power Delivery 2.0 or 3.0 for the USB-C to HDMI & USB 3.0 with Power Delivery to be compatible. Posted .The USB-C to HDMI & USB 3.0 with Power Delivery requires an All in One to support DisplayPort Alt Mode and Power Delivery features through it's USB Type-C port. Doesn't support 4k over HDMI

The HDMI port does not support 4k resolution, so DO NOT BUY if you plan to use with a 4k display. Two USB thumb drives have been corrupted when plugged into this thing, I can't say for certain it was the fault of this adapter or not, but sure seems like it. This thing should have an ethernet port! The Good: USB is working for my keyboard and MacBook 85w power supply is plugged into the extra USB-C port providing power through this adapter so that I'm able to eliminate one plug. I would not buy this again...

The only issue I have is it's suppose to charge the phone while connected to the TV but the battery drains so fast still I wish there was a solution to this cause then I would give this device 10⭐
