Posted .We understand that the driver installation process can feel a bit more involved than expected. The device uses Magic Control Technology to support multiple displays, which does require a separate driver download.

I returned my specific Lenovo dock and got this, which properly displays all three monitors (34" ultrawide and two 24"). Best part, less than half the price of the Lenovo dock!

At least their support tells you up front it wont work on new mac, one monitor max. My hp does not work with displays at all. I did everything support saidto do. Just garbage yet it is still being sold

Posted .The USB-C Triple Display Docking Station requires a USB-C port with DisplayPort Alt Mode and Power Delivery 2.0/3.0 support in order to output to external monitors. For macOS systems, only one external display is supported due to Apple’s OS limitation, while Windows devices can support multiple monitors when the required drivers are installed. If your HP laptop does not recognize the displays, it may not have DisplayPort Alt Mode enabled on its USB-C port.

If you are using a business issued computer you’ll need to get them to update the drivers for you if you don’t have those privileges.

Bad docking station

It's finicky, meaning sometimes my 2nd monitor shows up right away but often I have to go into settings and set it up again. It did not come with a power cable. That's ridiculous. I would not recommend this docking station to anyone.

Posted .The JCD543P comes with a Power Adapter, JCD543 does not. You can use your personal USB-C power adapter. We recommend 75W or higher.

This looked to be an excellent product and I was sad to find out it was not compatible.

I want to like it, but it works for about a week or two and then all the sudden it just stops. Will not power devices and refuses to connect to the computer that is plugged in. I do not know what is wrong with these docks but they are faulty.

Not sure if a firmware issue or software. Had to install display link so that may be it. Quality seems good so hopefully you won’t have the same issue. At least it was easy to return.

What I mean is that only the j5create USB-C DS carried in store by Best Buy, is model JCD543 which doesn't include a power charger included in the packaging. But, low and behold after getting to my office and setting up laptop with 2 extra screens and not working correctly, I began trouble-shooting and some research. I found that the JCD543 needed to be a JCD543-(P) meaning power cord, and that I would need to purchase a separate JCD2290 power cord/charger to make the DS work correctly. So 2 stars it is!

The power adapter (JUP2290) is good for adding a little more power to the j5create device and pass through charging to your computer. Great Product Support

Could not get one HDMI port to work when installing. Customer service was so responsive. I had the issue fixed within an hour. Docking station is working great with two Dell monitors and Dell laptop.

Also for those using this with M1 chip MacBook Pro this dock will allow dual display.

I have had intermittent "glitches" with the HDMI video output, (shifting the image to the side about 5%). It never shows up when I go directly to the HDMI port on my HP Envy.

Posted .Kj99, I'm glad to hear the JCD543 is working well for you. In regards to the HDMI on your computer not working, this could be due to the computer either not supporting video output via USB-C, or being behind on updates.

Great Dock for Office Use

Dock worth getting for work.

I've downloaded their updates, worked with tech support and gone through 3 devices and none of them worked!! I trusted this brand because it's sold at Best Buy but never again! I expect more from Best Buy! I'm out of $120 because the return policy is only 14 days. Best Buy needs to fix this problem! I need 3 monitors for work and I've been sorely inconvenienced!
