Posted .The USB-C power-in port on the USB-C Triple Display Docking Station supports up to 100W pass-through charge, as well as providing additional power to the other USB ports at the same time. If using a low power-brick wattage, please test with a 75W or higher power-brick. You can also try changing some settings in "Power Option". Runs hot on the mac

I regret that you have encountered this issue with the docking station. While all electrical devices generate some amounts of heat this docking station may seem hotter than other devices due to the aluminum construction radiating more heat from the internal components. However, there is always the potential of a defect. We appreciate your feedback on the docking station.

Support was not available as advertised either and had to figure out how to do a workaround on the fly. This is in a remote office and I had no choice but to use the equipment. Wish I could return it.

Posted .I apologize for the experience you have had with your USB-C Triple Display Docking Station. In order for the docking station to work the USB-C port on your computer must support DisplayPort Alternate Mode and the driver must be downloaded from the j5create website and installed onto your computer, the driver is only Windows and macOS compatible. 2 time we were sold something not compatible

I brought my laptop to the store with me and this is what the sales person recommended. Obviously it is not for a laptop.

Perfect for 2 screen setup and multiple USB device

Works perfectly and reliably. Better than my work issued Targus docking station. My setup includes 2 screens, wireless mouse, webcam and speakerphone.

However, one of the HDMI ports did not work on the unit I bought. I ended up returning it when I found a Dell ultrawide monitor with USB C and a USB hub.

Posted .It is possible the computer you are using does not support the required features of the JCD543 to perform it's best and therefore, one of the HDMI monitors did not display for you; in this case, we highly recommend contacting the support team on the packaging and someone will be happy to assist in find you a device that will work.

Poor quality and lousy support

Owned for 1.5 years when reviewed.This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.This device was recommended by another vendor with a good reputation, but there were issues fulfilling and shipping, so I purchased and picked up locally. I wanted a device I could plug in dual monitors via HDMI, a printer, a scanner, an external drive, my UPS and ethernet. Not long after installation one of the USB-A ports stopped working. Foolishly I did not complain and plugged into a USB port on the laptop. Then the ethernet stopped, so I plugged into the laptop. Recently another USB-A port stopped working and one of the HDMI ports worked intermittently. J5 Create does not answer their phones, only a busy signal. I started chatting and support had me update drivers. The USB-A ports worked, but then it stopped charging my laptop. I won’t add additional issues with their support, but they agreed to exchange it. I asked for a phone call, but nope, they won’t talk to you. I have copies of the chats and spent several hours. I’ll be kind and say this is a poor quality device and their support is terrible. Based on this experience, no way I’ll ever get another J5 Create product, nor will I ever recommend one. I’m an old dog and should have complained after the first port went out.

No sound from second monitor but I doubt it’s this dock causing that. Will look into specific drivers to rule it out.

Great I/O expansion addon

Posted .If possible, to test another HDMI cable to display or another monitor/TV. You may also do an uninstall and reinstall of the drivers. Update any available updates for your computer through the website of your computer's manufacture brand.
Good Port Replicator/dock

Port replication is good. I have had no issues under either Windows or macOS with large screen external monitors.
