Posted .The USB-C power-in port on the USB-C Triple Display Docking Station will allow pass-through charge when a power-brick is connected. However, computer's must support USB Power Delivery 2.0 or 3.0 features. Please refer to the manufacturer of your hardware for more information on your device. Thank you.

Very disappointed

Owned for 1 month when reviewed.This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Very disappointed in this product as well as the on-line Best Buy tech who recommended it and told me that it would work with my setup. I purchased the docking station, a new laptop, and 2 monitors all at the same time. Before selecting the docking station, I reached out to the on-line support and told them how I was going to set everything up and asked which docking station I needed for that. I was told to wait for a minute while they researched. After a few minutes, this was the docking station suggested. The docking station uses a USB-C connector and the new laptop does not have that. You would have thought that the tech would have recognized that and also suggested an adaptor. Even after purchasing an adaptor, the docking station does not seem to support using 2 external monitors. Additionally, I've been unable to find any type of instructions or supporting documentation to assist with making it work.

Posted .Unfortunately, we do not recommend connecting our Dock to an additional adapter. We cannot guarantee full functionality. Computers must also support "DisplayPort Alt Mode" and "Power Delivery". for PnP ports, such as HDMI or DP. The Dock also requires an installation of a driver for proper functionality. Please contact our Customer Service team, so that they can get more information from you regarding your computer's specifications. Worthless Product - Do Not Buy!!!

Bought this on 1/19/20 and after a month I started having the same problem with 2 of my PC's. The USB-C would only make 2 monitors work instead of 3 like it had before. Then when I switched between the 2 computers, I would have to flip the USB-C connector from the docking station upside down in order for it to work with the other PC. Finally in September after dealing with this for months, I sent it back to J5create to have it fixed. They said it was working fine and it's not a problem with their product and sent it back to me. Completely false. The same problem continued. I've tried it with 4 different PC's and have had the same issue with each one. Now as of 1/26, the USB-C connector doesn't work at all and the docking station is worthless. Funny how it stops working 7 days after the 1 year warranty is up and after I've already sent it in for it to be fixed a few months ago. Do not buy products from this company and certainly not this product. Go with someone more reputable. I want my money back or a functioning docking station.

No Power Cord

It's meant to be placed under your laptop to minimize space usage. But that doesn't mean anything because it doesn't come with a power cord. Yes, you read that right...you spend $100, and it doesn't come with a power cord. You have to spend an additional $50 to get it to turn on.

I would like to alleviate your concerns about the docking station. It does not require the power cord to operate. The power cord option is to allow pass through charging for your laptop.
The dock itself does not require external power to function. If your laptop charges via USB-C you can plug your laptop charger into the dock to allow your computer to be charged.
If your dock is not functioning, I would recommend that you contact our customer support team. They can provide troubleshooting and technical assistance by phone, email, or live chat. Contact information can be found on the device packaging, or on our website in the support drop down.

This model came without a power supply cord. I couldn't get my second monitor to work. However, if you only have one monitor, it works fine. I had to return it.

Posted .The USB-C Triple Display Docking Station requires DisplayPort Alt Mode to transmit audio and video signals and USB Power Delivery 2.0 or 3.0 from a computer. Please refer to the manufacturer of your hardware for more information on your device. A driver is also required for the VGA, Mic, and stand alone HDMI port to function. The JCD543P comes with a power adapter vs the JCD543 does not. JUP2290 can be purchased separately. Thank you.
