One HDMI port works perfect, the other keeps shorting out and causing my monitor to do weird things. I tried trouble shooting it with J5 Create and after trying all of the different ports I ended up sending it back to them for "testing" and they said it tested good and sent it back. Once I got it back I tried again this time I also tried the VGA port that does work (but you don't get the same resolution) and the DP port which doesn't work at all. I can't return it to Best Buy because it's been more than 2 weeks and now I'm stuck with a junk $109 docking stating. Do Not Buy. I'm not the only one.

DO NOT USE WITH EXTERNAL HARD DRIVES

I spent hours with support calls with Apple and never made the connection it was this docking station. Why is it called a docking station with 3 USB-C 3.0 ports and no notice anywhere not to use it with external hard drives? I was told on a support chat with j5create yesterday it doesn't work with hard drives. It ruined my 8TB backup drive, my 4TB drive and corrupted new 10TB and 5TB replacement drives some drives are totally unmountable now. I lost hundreds of dollars in equipment and weeks of productive time. PUT A LABEL ON IT OR IN THE INSTRUCTIONS THAT IT DOES NOT SUPPORT EXTERNAL HARD DRIVES!

Dual monitors do not work properly.

It loses connection and stops working. Tech support has tried several things but it still doesn’t work right. I should have taken it back and got something else.

The VGA and stand alone HDMI port requires an installation of a driver for proper functionality. Depending on the OS you have, different instructions apply. I had to wait 10 days for J5 to send me a replacement under the 2 year warranty. The replacement they sent me failed within 14 days. They offered to replace with a different model. I had to argue for them to pick up the cost of shipping. The replacment they sent, while working for now, has a bright yellow label on it with the words "damaged & defective." I expect it to fail soon. Avoid this brand.

Multiple display port

I got this as a multi display port for my dell laptop. This device would not charge my laptop efficiently while in use. I ended up returning it.
