    Find a different version, every time there is an OS upgrade it breaks, and then it takes them months and months and months to get the drivers fixed.

    This doesn't come with a power cord and I was under the assumption my power cord would work. Well, it doesn't and I have had this for a while sitting to the side in boxes to update with. my two new monitors. I can only hope that Best Buy will take it back.

      Computers must support USB Power Delivery 2.0 or 3.0 for the USB-C power-in port on the Docking Station to function. Ensure your power-brick supports 65W or higher since the power-in port supports 100W. The Dock will also require DisplayPort Alt Mode to transmit audio and video signals via DP or HDMI port. As well as an installation of a driver for the VGA, Mic, and stand alone HDMI port. Drivers are located on j5create website under the Support tab.

    Was sold the wrong product by unqualified. Sales people, tried to return. They would not return for refund.

    This product or any other j5 products will not work on a surface pro x. I was told it would.

    I really wanted this to work with my Thinkpad P17, but alas it did not for extending to a DisplayPort connected monitor. In fact, I could not get more than one external monitor to work even with HDMI. I contacted support with the company and was told that it would not support DP on a Thinkpad, which makes no sense to me. Promptly returning and because of the lack of support from j5create will probably stay away from their other products.

      DanielleT, Purchasing a product that does not deliver as advertised is frustrating and we apologize for the inconvenience this caused. Due to the JCD543 being a hybrid dock, it requires that your computer support Thunderbolt 3, or DP alt-mode via USB-C to obtain full functionality. Alternatively, we have the JCD381 which works off software and that will work with your ThinkPad 17. If you wish to learn more about the JCD381, please reach out to support and a rep will be more than happy to answer any questions you may have.

    Only one of the 3 USB ports works with my Toshiba portable hard drive and it only seems to work if my computer power cable is plugged into it.

    Wobbly Monitor

    The secondary to my laptop monitor was slightly wobbly and made it unpleasant to watch. But I'll try to install it again and see if it's any better.

      Wobbly performance can be unpleasant and we are sorry to hear this has been your experience with the JCD543. This may be due to a loose connection of the JCD543 with the computer, a defective HDMI cable, too long of an HDMI cable, or even a troubled monitor.     I was unable to get Display Port to work at full resolution (2560x1440) with Windows 10. I ended up getting a different docking station.

    Do not waste your time. This thing was buggy, requiring constant re-starts, and then it just stopped working

In the case where the JCD543 is constantly requiring a restart in order to work again or you experience buggy performance, we recommend contacting the technical support team on the packaging in order to troubleshoot and narrow down the root of the issue.     Worked for about a year and then just stopped. Sad when it's not exactly a cheap docking station. I loved it when it worked.

    This product does not have a power Supply with it you have to buy it for another $ 50.00 dollars so watch out

      Thank you for sharing your feedback. I am sorry that the details regarding the power supply were not made clear during the time of purchase. To clarify; the docking station does not need a power supply to function. The power supply is optional for pass through charging to charge the laptop. The docking station will fully function if it is not plugged in. If your laptop uses a power adapter with a USB C plug, your power adapter can be plugged into the dock to charge your laptop. If your laptop uses a different type of power adapter you can just plug that in as normal to charge your laptop and the docking station will fully function when connected to your laptop. Again I apologize that the specifications for the dock were not properly relayed to you when you purchased it.

    This unit is great when it works. If you are buying this for the triple display functionality beware that it takes this company several months to add support drivers for each new Mac OS update. In other words, your Macbook will update overnight and you will wake up to your monitors not working. They offer no timelines for updates. Currently, I've been waiting for 4 weeks for 11.4 support. I'm buying another unit instead.

      128Collective, we're sorry to hear the Docking Station does not work well with the new update MacOS version. At this time, we are seeing some instability with our software in 11.4 and some times in 11.5. A quick fix will usually be to uninstall and reinstall our driver but unfortunately, we cannot guarantee that will work.
