Ok but does not work with DELL Latitude.

Great for docking laptop

Owned for 9 months when reviewed.This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Easy setup/connections, just wish the USB C cable that attaches to the laptop was a little longer (for when I need to move my laptop closer to me and open it.) I haven't unplugged it in a while because usually when I go to plug it back in, my laptop doesn't remember my setup and sometimes won't display properly but that is probably an issue with the laptop, not the docking station. I have 3 monitors, a printer and speaker system connected to it.

Good Dock for any Intel Computer

I tried on one to no avail, then a second where it performed as expected, and finally on a third where it failed.I run MacBooks in three different rooms. I wanted to try this out before buying two additional docking stations. I did not buy more of these.

Because the dock requires DP alt mode/Thunderbolt 3 capabilities for full functionality, you may not obtain the full potential of the station. In order to troubleshoot and ensure you can take advantage of the dock, please reach out to support and an agent will be more than happy to look up the specs of your computer and determine compatibility. This definitely helps with running multiple programs and have files open and visible all at the same time. This also gives me extra USB ports.

I purchased another one a few months ago that worked fine till one of my monitors displayed a pink background, the dual adaptors I purchased didn’t work either. I took a chance with this one. I did have to download drivers for it to work with my MacBook though.

Almost a decent usb-c hub

It would go work and then stop supporting both monitors. I determined the driver for the product was not updated for the M1Pro chip so I returned it. It’s probably a decent device, just needs to be updated for the newest systems to work properly.

Posted .The HDMI or DP ports are PnP, no driver required. The HDMI and VGA, requires a driver. Please uninstall and reinstall the drivers without the Dock connected. Text with another video cable. ** Feel free to contact j5create Technical Support if you require further assistance.
Lots of connections

We’re really happy with it. The only hesitation we have is that we don’t know if it’s the docking station or if something is defective in our new laptop because the USB port the docking station was connected into became defective and is not recognizing at of the connections after almost a month’s worth of use. We’ve exchanged the docking station for a new one exactly the same. Time will tell.

Stop carrying these until properly supported

I've spent $200 the last month on multiple J5 docks for my 2019 Macbook Pro at the suggestion of your in-store sales people. NONE of them work properly with Big Sur. Call J5 support and they tell you they'll put you on a mailing list for when their developers get around to it. Called them this morning and their response is "roll back to Catalina and it will work". If you're going to continue selling product that doesn't work as promised at least put a disclaimer on it stating "does not work with current operating platforms". Stop wasting your customer's time and money selling product that doesn't work as advertised. Third trip to the store and multiple support phone calls with Total Tech support and I just ended up buying two Type C to HDMI connectors so I have something reliable. I'm not asking for out-of-the-box solutions. I just want to connect 2 monitors to a Mac....

We regret to hear your frustration with the docking station. The Big Sur operating system is significantly different than previous versions of MacOS and new drivers need to be created from the ground up. Our developers are actively working on the updated drivers. There will be a notice on the j5create website once the drivers are released. As our customer support agent mentioned the JCD543 is still compatible with MacOS 10.8 to 10.15 and Windows 10. We appreciate your patience.

Expansion ports

It makes additional monitors or devices so easy to connect. For newer thinner devices having limited connections built in, this really puts on the finishing touch.

One USB-C connection to my laptop and I can connect to keyboard, mouse, up to 3 monitors and network connection if you want a wired connection.

Only two USB-C ports on laptop. With this item you can connect your power source, HDMI for a monitor and other USB devices like remote mouse.

The swiss army of docking stations!

It's not cheap but totally worth it if you have multiple accessories plugged into your laptop and then take the computer home or to the office every day. Time and effort saver not having to unplug and re-plug all those accessories over and over.

I had to return this because it did not have enough HDMI ports and other important ports needed for cameras and other laptop. Did not get to use this because it was returned.
