I bought it to work with my job computer and two monitors. It also had to connect speakers and microphones so I can fully work from home. It didn't work out. It wasn't compatible with my computer so I returned it to Best Buy. The description should include its compatibility with different computers. It doesn't do well with my Dell Latitude 7470.

WHen it works, it works great

It works for a while and then two of the monitors freeze and I have to pull the USB connection and connect again. Sometimes 5 times a day. Called support who had me update windows and get the latest driver. Works better, but still drops one monitor a couple times a day or it shows the right 2 inches of the display on the left side of the monitor. Laptop is an i7 with a discrete graphics card, so that is not lacking.

Very nice but was disappointed in power

I discovered it has no power supply. So in addition to this you have to bring power to it. So I went back and bought a 100w power supply for an additional >$100. The power supply is great. But when I plugged the power supply into this docking station then ran power from the docking station to the laptop, the docking station was passing through only less than 50 watts and it would not operate the laptop. I returned the docking station unfortunately.

It doesn’t have power, and it doesn’t have the right ports for modern monitors. There’s nowhere to plug a mouse or keyboard. It just straight up sucks. I cant believe I (and a few others) are the few to see these problems. Im trying to understand what this thing is supposed to do without any of those connections? I have to plug them all into my computer anyway.

Posted .Hi! I'm so sorry to hear you had issues with our docking station, you did not mention if you contacted our support, which I believe we would have been able to assist you with the setup of this product. I would like to respond to some of the information posted in this review...
This dock does work with Microsoft® Windows® 10/ 8.1/ 7 (32-bit or 64-bit) as well as macOS® 10.8 or later with a supported USB-C™ connection available.
While true you will need to use a VGA connection to achieve 3 external monitors, we do support modern display devices with HDMI and DisplayPort connections available, but the laptop connected will need to support USB-C™ DisplayPort™ Alt mode for the displays to function, along with a driver installation for full functionality.
We do feature 3 USB Type-A 3.1 ports to connect peripherals, like a mouse and keyboard.
The JCD543 is bus-powered (draws power from the connected laptop). The USB-C™ Power In port is optional but recommended if using high-powered devices, like external drives. We offer this docking station with (JCD543P) and without (JCD543) a power supply. If your laptop uses a Type-C connection for power, it can be plugged into this dock for power as well.
