It sounds that you are really pleased with the JCD543 docking station. It will add a lot of ports so you can increase the functionality of a laptop. The extra display connections and other ports will give you the connectivity to build a workstation around your laptop.

It lasted a few days then got real hot and the external monitor quit working. Tried a second one and so far it has made it a couple of weeks. We shall see how it last. The only reason I went with another is I am not finding what I want in a dock from mac.
