Easy plug and play

I have had any issue with my MacBook but the support staff with the product have gave me some tips to try haven’t been able to try yet.

The JCD543 requires software drivers to fully function. Windows 10 may automatically download the driver software. If you are using MacOS you will have to manually download the driver from the j5create website. Thanks for taking the time to post your review.

Called support and had the rep deemed as defective and granted a replacement, a different department handles the RMAs they would not do anything until they received the defective unit back to them, and they would not pay for shipping, so it costed me time and $23. When the replacement device was delivered and I tried to connect a second monitor only one works. I wrote to the RMA people asking for a refund, crickets, after days. Avoid this brand.

It is good to hear that you find the j5create triple display docking station very useful. While not truly plug and play it does require a software driver to fully function. Can only get 1 additional monitor to work.

Posted .If your USB-C port doesn’t support DP Alt Mode, then multiple video outputs via the dock won’t function properly.
The dock requires one of the specified combinations (HDMI + VGA + DP or HDMI + VGA + HDMI), using the two HDMI ports and DisplayPort simultaneously is not be supported.
The VGA+HDMI (not the HDMI under the "OR") requires an installation of a driver. Drivers are located on j5create website under the "Support" tab.
If the dock is bus-powered (not using external power), or the laptop is not supplying enough bandwidth, some ports may not initialize properly for multiple displays. Use an external power adapter for the dock (if not already) and ensure the USB-C cable is securely connected.

Tried updating the firmware and drivers to no avail. I saw this one and was hesitant due to the price but I’m glad I went with this one, it worked and all my monitors work without issue. A few months and no issues. While you do not need to install drivers for this dock, it is strongly recommended that you do so that your system can recognize all of the ports and displays easily.

The rep in the Apple section of our store recommended it and the clean, slim line design was appealing. I followed the simple instructions and was still having trouble connecting the other monitors. J5Create does not mention that they have a YouTube channel with “How to” videos for troubleshooting however they do and after finding these it made this product very easy to use. We ended up purchasing another one for our other PC computer and it works great.

Posted .Depending on what operating system you have, different instructions apply; we do offer customer support in the case where the customer would like to call in and speak to a representative and we will either get the device working, or we will recommend a device that will work for you.
