This looked to be an excellent product and I was sad to find out it was not compatible.

Also for those using this with M1 chip MacBook Pro this dock will allow dual display.

If you are using a business issued computer you’ll need to get them to update the drivers for you if you don’t have those privileges.

Ethernet port to C does not work

If the Ethernet port on your docking station is not working there may be an issue with the driver. Simply uninstalling and reinstalling the driver may resolve the issue. What I mean is that only the j5create USB-C DS carried in store by Best Buy, is model JCD543 which doesn't include a power charger included in the packaging. But, low and behold after getting to my office and setting up laptop with 2 extra screens and not working correctly, I began trouble-shooting and some research. I found that the JCD543 needed to be a JCD543-(P) meaning power cord, and that I would need to purchase a separate JCD2290 power cord/charger to make the DS work correctly. So 2 stars it is!

The power adapter (JUP2290) is good for adding a little more power to the j5create device and pass through charging to your computer. If the monitors are not displaying correctly, please contact us and an available agent will gladly help you with the issue you are experiencing. Respectfully, j5create.

The only thing I want to point is the instructions on setup are not clear, so they can do better on it. But it works great.

Bought $3000 laptop and the salesperson was so nervous he didn't recommend something like this so I had to drive through the snow back to best buy and get one because Walmart didn't have any.

Not sure if a firmware issue or software. Had to install display link so that may be it. Quality seems good so hopefully you won’t have the same issue. At least it was easy to return.

I have had intermittent "glitches" with the HDMI video output, (shifting the image to the side about 5%). It never shows up when I go directly to the HDMI port on my HP Envy.

Posted .Kj99, I'm glad to hear the JCD543 is working well for you. In regards to the HDMI on your computer not working, this could be due to the computer either not supporting video output via USB-C, or being behind on updates.

Posted .The USB-C Triple Display Docking Station requires an installation of a driver for the VGA and the stand alone HDMI port. Drivers are located on j5create website under the "Support" tab. Please use VGA to VGA cables or HDMI to HDMI cables. We cannot guarantee functionality with conversion cables. Thank you.
