I have contacted customer service via email and waiting to hear back. As of right now, this is a product to avoid for Mac users hoping to have multiple displays. I have a MacBook air 2020, M1.

I was hoping to have thunderbolt that can handle having both charging or at least one of them but this item is a Type C charger. Not powerful enough for either one. Its good as just a hub. I plan to return it.

Posted .The USB-C Triple Display Docking Station requires an available USB-C port that supports DisplayPort Alt Mode and USB Power Delivery 2.0 or 3.0. Please refer to the manufacturer of your hardware for more information on your device. Will also require an installation of a driver. The USB-C power-in port on the Dock supports up to 100W with a power-brick attached and will only allow pass-through charge to the device that is connected to (Host device). Will not charge both computers at the same time.

Bad interaction with Windows 11 when system sleeps

When returning to the computer each morning, it was usually to a locked up Explorer app, which I had to restart in Task Manager. It also kept reverting the desktop color to black. It took me weeks to figure out that this device was at fault. Once I stopped using it, everything runs perfectly.

Quite disappointed that this one requires a driver install! Technically the USB splitting uses the standard protocol and one of the hdmi ports kind of works, but still.

Posted .The VGA, Mic and stand alone HDMI port requires an installation of a driver for functionality. Drivers are available for Windows and Mac platforms. Not compatible with Linux. The rest of the ports are PnP, however, computers must support DisplayPort Alt Mode and USB Power Delivery 2.0 or 3.0. Great versatile docking station

I purchased it as a means for utilizing two monitors with my MacBook Pro. It worked initially for about a week. Since, then I've had nothing but headaches. I have gone back and forth between Mac and j5 developers. Only to find they (j5) are trying to come up with a driver that will work with my Mac.

I spent hours trying to figure out why. Geek squad was not able to help and the j5 website was useless. I exchanged it and the new one did not work either. After three days of trying to figure out the problem, I gave up and ended up using the VGA adapter instead for my second monitor. However, all other plugs/adapters work fine so far.
