    Drivers not working on Big Sur for Mac

    Currently not working on new updates of Big Sur. I have contacted customer service via email and waiting to hear back. As of right now, this is a product to avoid for Mac users hoping to have multiple displays. I have a MacBook air 2020, M1.

    Using two monitors with this is a little buggy. Maybe less buggy than without it, but still not perfect.

    Probably shouldn’t give it 3 stars but it worked for a minute. Alarm often goes off after connecting, used for about a month. Def not worth buying!

    I bought this couple months month ago recommended from an employee and it is the best I ever owned not sure how long it will last but so far mine still working great.

    I did a lot of research on docking stations, and this is by far the best option to work with Mac and PC for dual monitors. I'm so pleased with it and bought one for a friend too.

    Unreliable for headsets

    Gets the job done for the most part, but any headset plugged into the USB ports will routinely drop the connection after 15-45 minutes of use. This issue persists across multiple different headsets and laptops from different manufacturers

      I apologize for the experience you have had with your USB-C Triple Display Docking Station. There may be a power setting on your computer that needs to be changed in order to prevent USB-C port on the laptop from entering a power saving state which can cause the headset to disconnect. Additionally connecting a USB-C power adapter such as our JUP2290C 100W Super Charger - Works with Chromebook Certified may help provide more adequate power to keep your devices connected.     A great add on for the Samsung Galaxy Book 2 Pro 360. It offers all the connections the Galaxy does not have.

    I wanted a "docking station" for all the wires that connect to this laptop. Unfortunately this piece is rather large and does not really save any space. I returned it.

      I am terribly sorry that the docking station did not meet your needs. The docking station is designed to have a laptop rest on top of it as a space saving measure.     The DP or HDMI port barely wants to work after a month of owning the product. I haven't damaged or misused it since I've owned it.

    Worked fine at the beginning, but after downloading drivers and updating software, one of the video HDMI adapters stopped working. I spent hours trying to figure out why. Geek squad was not able to help and the j5 website was useless. I exchanged it and the new one did not work either. After three days of trying to figure out the problem, I gave up and ended up using the VGA adapter instead for my second monitor. However, all other plugs/adapters work fine so far.

    This item was recommended by one of the store rep's, so I purchased it. I purchased it as a means for utilizing two monitors with my MacBook Pro. It worked initially for about a week. Since, then I've had nothing but headaches. I have gone back and forth between Mac and j5 developers. Only to find they (j5) are trying to come up with a driver that will work with my Mac.

      Hello Jesse. we're sorry to hear our device was a disappointment. Unfortunately, for Macs that have the M1 chip, the driver will not work for ports on the HDMI, VGA and Mic.     I purchased this dock in hopes it would be a good fit for my new home office. Covid has definitely changed things. First issue I experienced was that when the computer (16" MBP) was awaken from sleep, the second monitor would not register. I had to disconnect the dock and reconnect it. I reached out to tech support, they had me reinstall the drivers and perform an nvram and smc reset. Worked until the first time I turned off my computer. Once back up the issue returned. I decided to live with it. New issue happened just a few days ago. Wifi started disconnecting when unit was plugged in. Out of nowhere. No changes in connections, software, or new devices. All other hubs and docking stations work fine. The problem is this one. The Apple console logs state the issue is with the Displaylink driver (which is considers legacy). All I have gotten from tech support is a kbase article stating that some devices may cause the issue due to radio interference. Not the issue here. Tech refuses to listen, escalate, or otherwise look for an alternative solution. "Unfortunately, as stated previously; the WiFi disconnecting you are experiencing is due to the radio interference that is caused by the JCD543 when plugged into the computer" Copy and pasted from the reply. Basically "You purchased it, but it doesn't work. We're sorry have a great day!" Stay away from this product or this company's product. I have gotten better support from inexpensive items off Amazon from China.

      I apologize for the inconvenience that this has caused you. Our customer service team has been trying to get the console log from you in order to further diagnose the issue after the case was escalated up to a supervisor. The issue pertaining to displaylink is not related to our drivers as we use mct, trigger5score, and djvirtualdisplay. We would be more than happy to continue troubleshooting this issue with you. We have seen radio interference with wifi at 2.5gHz since all USB 3.0 devices emit radio signals that operate in this range. Due to you reporting that your computer is reporting an error with displaylink, something that is not considered legacy, your wifi disconnecting could be related to an entirely different set of issues that we can diagnose.

    This item did not work for me. I have a Dell and an HP laptop top. I was hoping to have thunderbolt that can handle having both charging or at least one of them but this item is a Type C charger. Not powerful enough for either one. Its good as just a hub. I plan to return it.

      The USB-C Triple Display Docking Station requires an available USB-C port that supports DisplayPort Alt Mode and USB Power Delivery 2.0 or 3.0. Please refer to the manufacturer of your hardware for more information on your device. Will also require an installation of a driver. The USB-C power-in port on the Dock supports up to 100W with a power-brick attached and will only allow pass-through charge to the device that is connected to (Host device). Will not charge both computers at the same time. j5create

    Poor Quality. Power pass-through stopped working within a month. Display plugs are extermely laggy and I only use one monitor. My printer takes forever to print through these USBs, but prints instantly on a direct connection or though a different USB-C hub. I got a USB-C to HDMI cable and a five dollar USB-C hub from Menards that work better than this. Bad product even at half the price. I only use it for Keyboard and Mouse because those are the only things that don't constantly have problems and to keep my laptop elevated for cooling.
