Correctly Picked Up Two Monitors, but Not Ethernet
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. If you don't need to use the Ethernet port, this dock may be OK. Connections on Zoom kept freezing up. Changing over to Wifi did not help, unless I rebooted the computer. If I did not use the ethernet port, it seemed OK, but that was one of two key reasons why I bought it. On the plus side, this dock did correctly pick up the nonstandard 1920 x 1200 dpi of monitor #2. Two other docks did not. This unit will be returned.

Product is inconsistent.
||Posted . Owned for 2 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I purchased this dock in hopes it would be a good fit for my new home office. Covid has definitely changed things. First issue I experienced was that when the computer (16" MBP) was awaken from sleep, the second monitor would not register. I had to disconnect the dock and reconnect it. I reached out to tech support, they had me reinstall the drivers and perform an nvram and smc reset. Worked until the first time I turned off my computer. Once back up the issue returned. I decided to live with it. New issue happened just a few days ago. Wifi started disconnecting when unit was plugged in. Out of nowhere. No changes in connections, software, or new devices. All other hubs and docking stations work fine. The problem is this one. The Apple console logs state the issue is with the Displaylink driver (which is considers legacy). All I have gotten from tech support is a kbase article stating that some devices may cause the issue due to radio interference. Not the issue here. Tech refuses to listen, escalate, or otherwise look for an alternative solution. "Unfortunately, as stated previously; the WiFi disconnecting you are experiencing is due to the radio interference that is caused by the JCD543 when plugged into the computer" Copy and pasted from the reply. Basically "You purchased it, but it doesn't work. We're sorry have a great day!" Stay away from this product or this company's product. I have gotten better support from inexpensive items off Amazon from China.

Posted .Hi!
I apologize for the inconvenience that this has caused you. Our customer service team has been trying to get the console log from you in order to further diagnose the issue after the case was escalated up to a supervisor. The issue pertaining to displaylink is not related to our drivers as we use mct, trigger5score, and djvirtualdisplay. We would be more than happy to continue troubleshooting this issue with you. We have seen radio interference with wifi at 2.5gHz since all USB 3.0 devices emit radio signals that operate in this range. Due to you reporting that your computer is reporting an error with displaylink, something that is not considered legacy, your wifi disconnecting could be related to an entirely different set of issues that we can diagnose.
Thanks,

Glitchy but functional
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I keep running into issues with my screens not connecting and my mouse plugged into the USB slot in the back seems to glitch and jump around the screen. The issues are intermittent and somewhat manageable, so I didn't give it a full 1 star. Would definitely recommend other products over this.

Posted .It seems like you are experiencing connectivity and performance issues with your screens and mouse when using the USB-C Triple Display Docking Station. Here are a few suggestions to help troubleshoot.
1. Ensure that you have the latest drivers/software/hardware/ect installed for you computer by visit your manufacturer's website and download the most recent drivers for your specific model. Updating the drivers can often resolve compatibility and performance issues.
2. Verify that the USB-C cable connecting your docking station to your computer is in good condition and properly plugged in. Additionally, inspect the USB-C ports on both the docking station and your computer for any physical damage or debris that may hinder the connection.
3. Ensure that the docking station is receiving sufficient power. This docking stations has a Power Delivery port that supplies pass-through charge and provides additional power to the ports as well when you connect a USB-C power-brick to the USB-C power-in port. (Computer must support USB Power Delivery 2.0 or 3.0).
4. USB connections have bandwidth and power limitations. If you have several high-bandwidth devices connected to the docking station, it might overload the USB connection and cause intermittent issues. Try disconnecting some devices and check if the problems persist.
5. Try uninstalling and reinstalling the drivers for the Docking Station once more. Drivers are just for the VGA, Mic, and stand alone HDMI port and are located on j5create website under the "Support" tab. (Computer must support DisplayPort Alt Mode for the DP or HDMI port to function).
If the above steps do not resolve the issues, please reach out to our Technical Support Team for further assistance. They can provide specific guidance based on your device model and offer additional troubleshooting steps. Their information is located here: https://en.j5create.com/pages/support

Sturdy product
||Posted . Owned for 5 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Good product. Heavy/wide enough that the cords hooked up in the back don’t tip the station backwards as is the case with some doc stations.

Posted .Hello,
The j5create triple display docking station has many additional ports in addition to the ability to connect three external monitors to your laptop. To get the full functionality of the docking station you will need to install the software drivers and connect the dock to a USB-C port that supports display port alternate mode. We appreciate you taking the time to leave a review.
Have a great day,

I could not get all of the video ports working
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I never got the second HDMI or the VGA port to work on my 2019 MacBook. The concept of a dock as a laptop wedge was also as convenient as I thought it would be.

Posted .Hello Chris,
We are terribly sorry that all of the ports on the dock are not currently working. Based on your review alone it sounds like there may have been an issue with the driver install. Some newer versions of MacOS have enhanced security that prevents driver installation. Our highly trained customer support team would be happy to troubleshoot this issue with you. Contact information for customer support is available on the product packaging and on our website under the support tab. A lot of thought was put into the overall design of the dock. Once you get the full functionality out of the device I believe that you will like the dock even more.
Thank you for the review,

Poor preformance USBType CTriple Display Dock, sta
||Posted . Owned for 3 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.most of the time this docking station work ok. But it must have a short or in the its high speed connector to my brand new Dell Inspiron 7506 laptop port. The it would monitor and other devices would go off & on devices at anytime and sometimes often. Whatever I did to make sure it was connected properly (according to instructions) did not make any difference. I went back to using my StarTech 7 port Hub connected to the usb 3 port. that works fine.

Posted .In the scenario where the JCD543 is disconnecting, this could be due to a loose connection, a cover potentially causing obstruction and resulting in such performance. In order to narrow down the root of the issue, we recommend contacting the technical support team mentioned on the packaging to speak with a specialist, they will diagnose, troubleshoot and offer a working solution. We apologize for the inconvenience you experienced and hope to turn things around.
Thank you,

Not Really Worth the Headache
||Posted . Owned for 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I'm pretty tech savvy, and I've had a nightmare of a time trying to get this thing to output video in any usable sense. I'm fine with the fact that it doesn't output 1440@144 for this price, I guess, but the fact that it doesn't output even 1080@60 over DisplayPort is just crazy. The bigger issue is I can't get it to connect to VGA *at all*. It just doesn't work. The display detects that it's connected via VGA, but promptly goes to sleep since there's nothing being passed from the computer. They just won't talk to each other. I have the latest drivers installed and everything. There's also very little documentation online about how to get this actually working. I also tried using this with my Mac to at least get some of my money's worth, and no go. It just doesn't work with most of the ports, even though my Mac has Thunderbolt 3.
