Posted .The USB-C power-in port on the USB-C Triple Display Docking Station will allow pass-through charge when a power-brick is connected. However, computer's must support USB Power Delivery 2.0 or 3.0 features. Please refer to the manufacturer of your hardware for more information on your device. Thank you.

This model came without a power supply cord. I couldn't get my second monitor to work. However, if you only have one monitor, it works fine. I had to return it.

Posted .The USB-C Triple Display Docking Station requires DisplayPort Alt Mode to transmit audio and video signals and USB Power Delivery 2.0 or 3.0 from a computer. Please refer to the manufacturer of your hardware for more information on your device. A driver is also required for the VGA, Mic, and stand alone HDMI port to function. The JCD543P comes with a power adapter vs the JCD543 does not. JUP2290 can be purchased separately. Thank you.

Very Unstable

It worked for three weeks, now my laptop attached to a monitor blinks on and off so many times that I disconnected it completely. If I hadn't thrown away the box I would be returning it.

I'm so sorry to hear that! This device has an optional power supply since most set ups don't require an external power supply and they can run off the computer's power. We do offer versions of this that come with the power supply, available at Best Buy. Since you're having difficulty with your device, I do recommend contacting my customer service team. We'd be more than happy to troubleshoot this with you and figure out what's going on. Our information can be found on the back of all of our product boxes and on our website.

Horrible Device, Not Easy to Use, Didn't work

But to call them for Tech help. Sure enough, it didn't work. I tried it on my two different set-ups, one for my new HP Laptop, the other for my MacBook Pro - didn't work for either. I called for Tech Help, they said that my new HP has an issue with USB-C and I needed to download updates. I asked why this product did not come with a Power Cord, as with no Power Cord, my Laptop nor other connected devices would not stay charged, they stated that I could buy a Power Cord separately for ANOTHER $40!!!! I downloaded HP USB-C updates and it STILL DIDN'T WORK! Probably needs the Power Cord that doesn't come with it, but I was not going to let them Gig me for another $40! Also, I wasted far too much time and effort trying to get this to work so I simply returned the item to Best Buy for a full refund! Also, keep in mind, it says it is good for dual monitors yet only has a single Display Port, so you would have to use a VGA or other cable for the other display, thus not really good for dual displays! I bought a Kingston instead, from Amazon, which cost more, but has Triple Display Ports, plus a solid Power Cord and worked perfectly the first time! I couldn't be happier with my Kingston!

Posted .Good Morning RR57, We sincerely apologize for the experience you had with the JCD543. The JCD543 does require DP alt-mode in order for the HDMI and DP ports under "or" to function properly. In the case where the computer does not support such feature, we would recommend a device such as the JCD381 which guarantees two HDMI displays, two USB Type-A ports and an Ethernet port with the installation of the driver.
