It’s suppose to sit under the laptop but for my 13” Mac it doesn’t look right. Other than that it’s pretty great. It just takes up a lot of space if you don’t use it under your laptop though. Out of all the other options though, this was definitely one of the better ones that I saw. 3 USB ports and other ports as well. I wish these things were cheaper but what can you do I guess

Thank you for your feedback on the triple display docking station. There are some tradeoffs, there are a lot of ports, but the docking station is big, as well as functionality versus price. As you know computers are being manufactured with fewer USB ports so hubs and docking stations are becoming a necessity. We appreciate you taking the time to write a review on the docking station.

Great Docking Station

Using with a Dell Inspirion and also switch a Lenovo Thinkpad. Works great with both. I can use 3 screens with this dock (laptop and 2 HDMI monitor connections). Well worth the money. Fast delivery by Best Buy - came in 2 days without paying extra for shipping. Definitely recommend!

But, I needed to install a driver to make it work. I am not able to install drivers on my work computer, so I had to return it.

This does require a specific driver download. Sometimes it doesn't work with both the monitors I have connected via HDMI. As in, the computer will go to sleep and one external monitor will display and the other won't. Other than that, I have a USB-c hub plugged in and the attached devices work fine. The analog audio works fine, I haven't tested the network, but I imagine it's okay.

If you are only getting one monitor to work at a time, there is troubleshooting that can be done and we would value the chance to resolve this. Almost didn't buy

But I am glad I did. This unit does everything that I have asked it to do. I am using the HDMI port for an external display and love the SD and micro SD card slots! Great bonus! The only complaint that I have is that the powered USB 3.1 port is not clearly labeled. As such, I cooked an external HD. Lost a few files that I wish I could get back, but, c'est la vie!

Does and doesn’t get the job done
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Doesn’t come with a power cable, so you’ll have to visit the products site for their cable or hit up amazon for one that provides ample juice. It does allow me to hook up two monitors with hdmi to give me 3 screens. Though it’s unstable and I occasionally have to plug/ unplug from laptop to get screens displaying. Some collaboration tools lose audio while plugged in. Power pass through is not great and get the warning that charging will be slow, not sure how power is allocated with so little plugged in. This was suppose to allow easy drop in for my wife or I and not require peripheral shuffling/power ply shuffling. Having to still plug in laptop power defeated that objective. Official drivers did not seem improve any of the described behaviors. So it works, just not as expected by the description. Likely another universal docking station out there that would do a better job. If you’re in a pinch and just need something in a hurry it may work for you to get by.

Good docking station, watch out for ventilation

Although I wasn’t sure if my hdmi to display port cord was working for not. But it might have been a bad cord. You have to install the driver before plugging it in. The only downside is that if your laptop vents are underneath towards the back the docking station will cover it. I have to balance my laptop on the docking station to have proper ventilation.

One of the most easiest docking stations

The dell docking station was 350.00 and went into Best Buy and visited their geek squad who help me find a compatible docking station at was only 99.00 dollars which not only saved me money but was much more slim and less bulky of a docking station.

Since i am a teacher. I have many different things connected at the same time so this docking port came in handy. The reason i am giving it 4 stars is because the first time i tried to connect it, it didn't work so i took it in so the geek squad could help me out. They got it to connect somehow it works great now.

I wanted a all in one dock including to be able to charge my laptop. Having 2 monitors attached, Speaker plug in, USB doggles and a power cord. Now all the wires are hidden and organized. Had to buy external power supply as the Dell has a different end on the cord that doesn't match up to charge.

Basically what I needed

Owned for 1 month when reviewed.This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I was looking for a docking station for my new laptop because I prefer to use a stand alone key board and mouse on a daily basis with a bigger screen, this works perfectly for all but the screen. This particular model will allow a second screen but I have to keep the lap top open to use it. So I use an external keyboard and mouse and the laptop screen. I'm also able to physically connect tot he internet and a printer when the WiFi is slow

Posted .For different capabilities all in one, the JCD543 is a good choice; when it comes to working with the laptop lid closed, we recommend contacting the support team on the device packaging in order to troubleshoot this and be able to close the lid and still use the computer if you wish to use it in that manner.
