Not having the driver installed properly can cause the docking station to not function correctly. When good things go bad!!!!

So basically it stopped work possibly burnt out (since the smell is very similar to other electronic i have been around that cooked). Also noticed only one of the HDMI ports work after a couple weeks. Had a bad habit of not recognizing usb items plugged in. Definitely one of those item I would buy the geek squad replacement thing. That way you could get a new one each month. Unfortunately I did not so I will be looking for something new and different. Had lots potential just never had that drive dog down deep in the big moments to reach the greatness. Hope this review helps someone.

Our JCD3199 USB-C Dual 4K HDMI Docking Station has a longer cable length. We also have other docking stations and hubs that require no driver to be installed if your computer meets the compatibility requirements. Poor performance

One of the monitor keeps freezing after couple of hours of use. I have to unplug and plug back the USB C every 2-3 hrs to make it work. Tried every other settings, but in vain. Do not recommend this product. Feels wasted $100..

I had to wait 10 days for J5 to send me a replacement under the 2 year warranty. The replacement they sent me failed within 14 days. They offered to replace with a different model. I had to argue for them to pick up the cost of shipping. The replacment they sent, while working for now, has a bright yellow label on it with the words "damaged & defective." I expect it to fail soon. Avoid this brand.
