    I bought with a new computer 2 weeks ago. It had dead ports out of the box. I know this because i have a dock and everything works. I exchanged for another, sometimes things slip through the cracks. 4 days later and it has already failed. I will be returning this. Best Buy needs to address the quality of the product, especially when there are so many better docks for similar money.

      The triple display docking station has some specific requirements to get the full functionality out of it. This includes driver installation, and plugging it into a USB-C port that supports Display Port Alternate Mode. If you have not yet returned the dock I would recommend contacting j5create customer support for assistance to save you the trip back to the store.     One of the screens always had an issue turning on. Returned it and got a different brand and now the issue is gone.

      The Lenovo must for support PnP devices and some ports on the JCD543 requires drivers for HDMI/VGA and Mic only.     Bad for MAC use long term

    -Bought this back in March 2021 -Dual displayed recently died....can't use 2nd HDMI port -Mic/speaker connection died...no sound when using -Seems like half of the rear ports are dropping off one by one -Find another product for your MAC with over 4.5 stars from actual customers...this one had that when I bought it...now it's trash

    It works however it flickers especially when you’re watching a movie and other websites my best recommendation is look for another product furthermore it is pricey for the amount of money you spend you couldn’t get something a lot more better than this

    Multiple ports don't work right out of the box. They require a driver download which can be problematic when working with a laptop provided by a job that has very high security restrictions. I have to return the one I purchased. Why not make it truly plug & play having all ports functional?

      Unfortunately, the HDMI, VGA and Mic require an installation of a driver for proper functionality. Most Windows computers support MST and others don't. Mac does not support MST. Therefor, some of our Docks require drivers for the device to work on computers that do not support that feature. You may have to contact your IT department in order to see if they will allow you to install the software. Cordially, j5. j5create

      Hello, the Dock requires drivers and the computer needs to support DisplayPort Alt Mode for video output and Power Delivery for pass-through charge.     No Battery - Keeps Freezing - Doesn't Charge Compu

    The staff at Best Buy are absolutely worthless. -This thing doesn't charge my new $1,500 Dell computer -It doesn't come with a charger! -->Why would anyone buy a docking station that doesn't charge your computer?! -Once I figured out the power charging thing it STILL didn't charge my computer because the C connection isn't "authorized" for my computer. Again, thanks Best buy!

    Problems with Display

    Bought this docking station last week. Connected the monitor to my Dell Laptop. It worked fine for couple of days. Then the display stared going off and I have to move the cursor to get it back. Later the display was going off even when I was working. So this started affecring my office work. Returning this today.

      Compatibility with the newest M1 macs at this time is troublesome due to drivers not being available and we apologize for the inconvenience this is causing. If you are using an Intel based mac and are on Big Sur 11.1, we have drivers available and if interested, we can provide instructions for you. Either way, we recommend contacting the support team on the packaging in order to obtain install instructions or be placed on the "On-Hold" list and as soon as drivers are available for M1 macs, you will be notified.

    A big disappointment. This was suggested to me when I purchased my HP Spectre laptop as recently laptop manufactures are eliminating in/out puts. Best Buy suggested I needed a USB - C power connector.. That did not do the job. When I wrote to J5 they told me I needed a J5 power cord. Best Buy does not carry tis piece. I'm stuck!!

      I regret to hear that you were disappointed with the JCD543. The JCD543 does not require external power to work. If your computer charges through USB-C the JCD543 supports passthrough charging and the adapter that came with your laptop may have sufficient power to support charging your laptop through the dock.

    It would have been helpful if it were disclosed prior to purchasing this that displayport alternate mode over USB-C is required. Many laptops do not support this mode, depending on their exact specifications.

    This device is terrible, it should be taken off the shelf. My first device had a damaged port. My second device was not recognized by Windows. Multiple trips to Best Buy and was very pleased with their customer service.

    Absolute Garbage!!! Don’t waste your money. Drops connection constantly, have to unplug and plug back in to reset to begin working again. Best Buy refused to return item, after 15days even though it took me longer then 15days to diagnose the problem. Since only used this once a week... only 2 uses total.... DONT WASTE YOUR MONEY!!!
